Everyone tells you how painful a root canal is. Dr. Jew did one for me nine years ago, and it was a piece of cake.
Dr. Jew just did another for me, and this one was also as good an experience as one could want. Really, very minimal pain, and no swelling. This recent one was on a tooth that had three roots instead of two, and one of the roots was unusually long and not as straight as one would like. Dr. Jew was able to take care of it in spite of it being difficult. The tooth also had a brand-new veneer on it, and he was able to take care of the root canal without damaging the veneer. He also gets the job done with minimal time spent in his chair.
I can't really comment on the cost since I didn't shop around for this, but the office took care of billing my insurance and only asked me to pay the co-pay at the time of service, rather than making me pay for the whole thing and then waiting to be reimbursed by insurance.
