I'm new to DC, and had to pick a dentist from a list of providers that my insurance plan supported. I chose Dr. Luzietti both because he received favorable reviews online, and because he was one of the minority of dentists on the list who were still accepting patients (this may have been my first warning sign). I WOULDN't BE WRITING THIS REVIEW IF MY VISIT WERE POSITIVE IN ANY WAY. The room I was lead into was sparsely equipped, and the entire office was devoid of any other patients. One receptionist lead me to the dentist's chair, where I sat waiting for 10 minutes. Finally, Dr. Luzietti came in. He already had his mouth mask/cover on. He did not look me in the eye. He didn't even introduce himself. He started off by taking bite-wing xrays, and when he shoved one of the square plastic edges deep into the roof of my mouth, I said 'oowww' and went to adjust it slightly. At this point, he glared angrily at me and almost yelled "you don't adjust those! I DO!" I should have gotten up and left. Not sure why I didn't. After the xrays, he carelessly scraped at some of my molars and then spent maybe a minute using the rotating brush on them. He skipped several teeth altogether. No overhead light, no small mirror; it took a total of 4 min.

About Hygienist: There was no hygienist. Don't waste your time going to this dentist. He obviously has no respect for patients. I've never written a negative review like this for anything or anyone before, but I felt this situation deserved it. Although his receptionists were really quite nice, Dr. Luzietti himself was rude and careless, and I probably have undetected cavities.

I know this doctor: One Visit
