Doesn't have much of a 'bedside manner' -- I probably haven't even had a minute's worth of conversation with him over 15 years of treatment, but I actually prefer a quick and quiet experience. I've never had to wait more than a minute or two to see him, which means I can get back to my office in 30 minutes after a routine visit and still have time for lunch. Office staff is terse, like he is.

It took me a year to warm up to his front desk staff as they are rude at first but have been friendly the past year. Dr. Luzietti is a different story, he doesn't say more than hello and he gets very frustrated with you when you don't follow his commands to his liking.

About Hygienist: There is no hygienest, Luzietti does the cleanings himself

This is this worst dentist I have ever had. They do not have any assistants do work. It's only him. He does not floss. He barely does any tarter work. He offers no cleaning tips or assistance. He is there just to do the minimum. The front staff customer service was bad as well. I had to reschedule an appt because they forgot to put it in their books. I went to him twice and both times were very bad.

The dentist is very professional and does a good job but the front desk gives you the worst customer service. The experience of going thru the front desk people is so terrible that everything else becomes not important.

An absolutely wonderful, non-nonesense, dedicated professional. I have total trust in him. Very exacting, thorough, careful. I recommend him highly.

I'm new to DC, and had to pick a dentist from a list of providers that my insurance plan supported. I chose Dr. Luzietti both because he received favorable reviews online, and because he was one of the minority of dentists on the list who were still accepting patients (this may have been my first warning sign). I WOULDN't BE WRITING THIS REVIEW IF MY VISIT WERE POSITIVE IN ANY WAY. The room I was lead into was sparsely equipped, and the entire office was devoid of any other patients. One receptionist lead me to the dentist's chair, where I sat waiting for 10 minutes. Finally, Dr. Luzietti came in. He already had his mouth mask/cover on. He did not look me in the eye. He didn't even introduce himself. He started off by taking bite-wing xrays, and when he shoved one of the square plastic edges deep into the roof of my mouth, I said 'oowww' and went to adjust it slightly. At this point, he glared angrily at me and almost yelled "you don't adjust those! I DO!" I should have gotten up and left. Not sure why I didn't. After the xrays, he carelessly scraped at some of my molars and then spent maybe a minute using the rotating brush on them. He skipped several teeth altogether. No overhead light, no small mirror; it took a total of 4 min.

About Hygienist: There was no hygienist. Don't waste your time going to this dentist. He obviously has no respect for patients. I've never written a negative review like this for anything or anyone before, but I felt this situation deserved it. Although his receptionists were really quite nice, Dr. Luzietti himself was rude and careless, and I probably have undetected cavities.

I went to Dr. Luzietti for a checkup. It was the fastest service but he did not speak to me much other than telling me the problems with my teeth which he breezed through so fast that I barely caught them. Took some xrays, scraped my teeth, told me what he needed to do and I was out the door in fifteen minutes. I personally like a little bit of interaction with my doctors like them telling me my options and stuff like that. Also the equipment seemed dated. All in all I am not sure if I will be going back. To be fair though the staff were very helpful and kind.

Poor communication skills; worst dentist I have ever been to. I expressed a problem with my tooth and he showed no concern.

I found him to be rude, the facilities were dirty. For a simple cleaning he was painful and when I complained I was told to deal with it that it would only be a few seconds. So I ened up with a cut in my mouth from the xrays. Avoid.

Very professional, doesn't try to push on patients unnecessary procedures. However, don't expect the doctor to be chatty.
