I started going to Dr. Kerr out of convenience, as I used to live in the apartments behind his old office. What an amazing find! I have nothing but great thing to say about him. He's very professional, knowledgeable, and stays up to date with the latest tools and procedures in dentistry. He's also a down to earth great guy, someone you would enjoy going snowboarding or having a beer with after work. I went to Dr. Kerr for years, and with every appointment he always had some new high-tech dentistry tool or gadget to show me. Now with his new facilities it really is like a spa. Kick back, watch some TV on the LCD screen, get a back massage, and have your teeth cleaned all at the same time. His hygienist staff are great as well, taking great care of me and my teeth during my semi-annual visits. I would always get phone reminders that my appointment was coming up. Billing was clear, concise, and easily paid. I was sad to move out of the area and no longer be under his care. I must admit I seriously considered keeping him as my dentist and making the hour drive back to his office for cleanings.

Procedures -- I have had a several replacement fillings, crowns and at least one root canal done by Dr. Kerr, and from my perspective, all have been done very well. I have not yet needed to return to have any work re-done. Pain -- Dr. Kerr has a very low-key manner, and is very responsive to any indication of pain, providing additional anesthetic whenever needed and has been very patient in waiting to ensure that additional anethetic has had sufficient time to work. Cost -- My only issue, primarily since he is NOT a preferred provider with my dental plan, meaning that for certain procedures my out-of-pocket cost is 40% of the bill rather than 20%. Insurance help -- His office bills my insurer directly and I have never had a problem in this regard. For expensive procedures, such as a crown, he has obtained pre-authorization from my insurer, so there are no surprises. Chair-side manner -- Dr. Kerr does a good job of explaining his recommendations, involves his patients in their treatment and seems committed to making the experience as low-stress as possible. Front desk -- Staff are very organized, congenial and typically call 1-2 days in advance to confirm that I'm still able to make a scheduled appointment.

I found Dr. Kerr online. I was allowed to meet with him in person regarding my personal needs as a patient. He answered many of my questions. When I came in for my fillings, the experience was very relaxing. As a nervous patient, I was given the choice of nitrous oxide which helped relax me. Also, as an individual with several facial piercings and a tongue piercing, I was not rejected service and they were very careful and gentle. Dr. Kerr and all of his staff are very eager to assist you, make you feel knowledgeable of the procedures and ultimately, comfortable. Definitely need to see this dentist!
