I saw Dr. Beitler a while ago. I went there for a check up and she was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. There was no isues, I felt she was competent at what she does. The office was neat and clean, which was a plus. It was the best dental appointments experience I've had in Maryland while I was there (I've had some bad ones before). I moved away before the next appointment was due, but I would have gone back to her if I hadn't moved.

Dr. Beitler seems like a very nice and competent dentist. She and her dental assistant worked with my sister as I sat in the waiting room. They were very friendly and accommodating, offering my sister books while she waited and making conversation. The facility is clean and the location is great. My complaint is with regard to the lady at the front desk. She is polite but her kindness seems disingenuous. I gave her the benefit of the doubt until my car stopped working the day of the appointment, leaving me with no way to get there. When I called, she was rude and abrasive, coldly asking me what the problem was and why I couldn't make it. She made absolutely no mention of a cancellation fee (mind you it is $100/person, and my appointment was adjoined to one for my sister). Although I couldn't have made it, it would have been nice to know to expect a bill in the mail. She seemed annoyed that we broke down and was terribly inconsiderate. The doctor was nice enough to cut the bill in half, only charging $100 dollars, but that fee is high. Honestly, I can accept the fee, but I cannot deal with the rude desk clerk. She is neither genuine nor interested in providing good customer support and assistance to all patients.

About Hygienist: I would recommend Dr. Beitler to others because she seems like she cares about her patients, but I would like others to be aware that the front desk clerk can be abrasive, inconsiderate, and rude.

The receptionist is the main reason I left this place onto a new dentist, after 4 agonizing years. She's rude, cold, not welcoming at all, will talk back to you in a blink, doesn't know much or wont look into your plan and seems to be irritable on a daily basis, gossips outloud with co-workers about people who just walked out of office-which makes me wonder if that happens when I left. The dentist herself, very nice woman, BUT will tell you her LIFE story-BEWARE (like the energizer bunny). And not very timely. Once I waited 2 hours for a FILLING! No apologies- i shouldve walked out, but my children were getting their cleanings. The hygienist is the only reason i continued as long as I did. She is great, yes she talks too, but only to make conversation, to avoid the akward silence, etc. She is very good! I would NOT recomment this place..these are my opinions and my experiences with me and my 3 children.

About Hygienist: She is GREAT...well mannered, kind, sensitive, gentle, very considrate!!

After an absolutely miserable experience with a string of the worst dentists imaginable (I won't mention names but I will say that they were located near a big food store in a shopping center in Germantown) that really destroyed my upper teeth, I discovered Dr. Beitler. She was in the midst of a move from a location in Germantown to her present office in Gaithersburg. Thank God I did. Finally, a dentist who really knows what she is doing. The place is delightfully feminine but with Andy Warhohl prints all over the beautiful mustard yellow walls. Dr. Beitler and her assistant (who is also wonderful) tend to yack on about their kids and what is on TV and where they are going, etc, etc.. They keep you so entertained you barely notice that the dentist is performing dentistry on you. The best thing is though that Dr. Beitler does really great work. And everything and everyone -- the dental assistant, the hygienist, and Patty, the receptionist, are all real pros. Given the horror stories out there including my own, people truly ought to appreciate Dr. Beitler. Her father was a dentist and she has an inborn love for her work. If you are looking for a dentist in this area, I simply cannot recommend Dr. Beitler highly enough!

About Hygienist: The hygenist is marvelous. She is skilled, quick, on time, and she is friendly. She will keep you so entertained you won't even notice she is scaling your teeth.
