Had a cap put on a back molar. Dr Claypool dismissed my 5 adjustents with her as my problem. I told her the cap was too big and could not chew on the treated tooth for was hitting a nerve. she would not re do my cap or help with anything else. I have been uncomfotable for five years and finally decided to have it fixed. Paid for new cap! Dr said old cap was done incorectly damaged my roots and needed root canal to fix my persistsant nerve problem, which was NEVER there before her " cap". I felt like a giunia pig in there with poor service after a painful cap job gone wrong. Get a second or third opinion! $ , time , pain and frustration!

I would recommend Dr. Claypool to everyone I know. It took me a long time to find a dentist that I was comfortable with. Dr. Claypool is professional, knowledgeable, and honest. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I had cosmetic crowns done on my front teeth and I love them. She really took her time to make sure that they fit perfectly and that I was happy with them. Her office staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This is a great office.

About Hygienist: The hygienist is very gentle, and also very knowledgeable. Most thorough cleaning I have had.

I really liked going to Dr. Claypool's office until I received my bill for my treatment. All I had done the first time I saw her was a routine cleaning, which I was told my medical insurance covered, but all of the extra perks at this office came out to an extra cost. I went back and scheduled an appointment for my husband and checked to make sure everything that was going to be done would be covered by my insurance. My husband went by himself to his first appointment and even though it was explained that he wanted to have a cleaning the day of his appointment, he was scheduled on a day that the hygienist wasn't in the office. He was told to reschedule for a cleaning and charged still charged chair time for the visit. This was extremely frustrating news because he would have to be charged chair time and cleaning fees for another visit when it was supposed to be taken care of the first time he went to see Dr. Claypool. I can say the staff is nice and so is the dentist, but the experience goes away when you're frustrated due to receiving incorrect/misleading information and get billed for hundreds of dollars after the service when you were told it would be covered.

I moved to LA and so had to find a new dentist. I visited this one a little more than 6 months after I'd last seen a dentist and suddenly it was recommended that I get two crowns and several fillings replaced. A little suspicious when you have just been to another dentist and nothing was mentioned - especially when you consider how nice the facility is. Talk about 'like a health spa'. That is truly what it is. They told me that they will likely need to crown a third tooth the next time as well. The second tooth they gave a crown to they had hoped to just re-drill some more but "had to" drill out a whole side of the tooth so then said a crown was a must. Still had to make a few hundred worth of payments outside of what my PPO insurance covered - then just got another bill from the dentist a month ago saying I owed another $240. I asked why and they said because they just found out that my yearly maximum for my dental plan was $1000 and they had already exceeded it! And they had me booked for a cleaning which I would have had to pay out of my own pocket if I hadn't gotten this bill and inquired out it before. Even the cleaning can't happen unless I pay now that my insurance is maxed out. Shouldn't they be checking this?
