I came to the Jerry Nutt dentistry practice for a standard teeth-cleaning and after meeting Dr. Hwang and the hygienist it was decided that I needed a root planing for the benefit of my gums. Dr. Hwang did make every effort to make the procedure as painless as possible, unfortunately two things occured as a result.
-1 Apparently there was no pre-estimate cleared with my insurance company for the procedure because I was rejected coverage for the procedure post-operation and ended up paying over 600 dollars.
-2 As of a year later my gums have not improved in the least, so I had a procedure that produced no beneficial results.
So, to all of those whom are reading this, if you must visit this dental office exercise caution and demand a pre-estimate on any and all procedures to be done, and maybe consider a second opinion if an expensive operation is recommended that you are unsure about.
