I want to start off that Dr Boyer is a wonderful oral surgeon. He is kind and patient with any questions you may have. I highly recommend him.
His partner, Dr Glenn Schieve is another story. Go to him if you want someone who is condescending and a jerk. If you want for nitrous oxide, don’t bother. Not sure what the deal is, but there is no effect from what he administers. Don’t expect any topical numbing meds before he sticks the needle into various areas of your mouth, because he doesn’t use it.
Also, don’t expect enough novocaine to be used, because he is either too cheap or a sadist (which I lean towards the latter). If you want to be yelled at because you can’t open your mouth wide enough for him (like your a petulant child), he’s your guy. I will be reporting him to the ADA and tell everyone I know about my experience.
If you don’t like your job, then get out of the business! He has no right to treat people as disrespectful as he does. I personally let him know. I want to save others from the same experience.

I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Glenn Scheive in his Joliet office. I had a great experience. The first thing i noticed was that his hygenists were very nice and knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable by adding their own person anecdotes. Next when I met Dr. Schieve he was also very nice and explained to me exactly what would happen during every step of the process. After the surgery was able to recover extremely fast, being able to walk and talk almost immediately after completion. Dr. Schieve and his assistants thoroughly explained the steps I wold have to take in order to keep my mouth clean to prevent infection. After when I came home the pain drugs worked wonderfully and I was fully recovered within a couple days rather than a week. Overall I had a great experience with Dr. Glenn Schieve and i would definitely recommend him.

I would have been better off doing the surgery myself. He's rude, arrogant, and he can't do anything right.
