I was referred to him for a cosmetic procedure, by a friend. I was excited because this particular procedure was a lot more expensive at the dermatologist I usually see. I was warned, however, that he would tell me what was wrong with my face, unsolicitedly. I was not prepared for the following: The waiting room is very nice, the front desk person is kind, t.v., magazines, and I'm thinking great, very professional and comfortable. I'm led back to the patients rooms and I'm like what the hell year IS this? Everything out of date, looks like a set up for med school experiments. As we discussed the procedure, I was asking questions and becoming concerned that he wanted to make an injection so very close to my eye socket, something that my dermatologist would never do- very risky in my opinion, and I read up a LOT and study a lot of articles pertaining to this particular method. Upon inspection of my face, he tells me my face is hollow and I need cheek implants. I about died and I wish I would have left right then and there. I have a very full face and am constantly complimented on my cheekbones. He tells me I need the implants to push the skin up and out from under my eyes. What the hell. He also told me I had a fat pocket under my right eye that needed to be removed. I'm like, I am tired and a little dehydrated maybe?? He got really testy with me when I voiced my concerns and looked at me like I was making him uncomfortable so he felt the need to go further. As a test, I thought I would keep calm and ask him what he thought about my lips. Sure enough, my top lip was all wrong and the upper fold was weak, and I needed filler in my top lip and under my nose. Again, what the hell. I kept thinking how great my friend's skin looked, so I decided well, he MUST know what he is doing, so I continued with the procedure. He decided to do 10 units less of the injection and I am glad he did because what I have been left with now, is a right eye so entirely bruised I look like someone hit me. I did not go close to the eye like he wanted, so at least I was right to be concerned. Never in the 2 1/2 years doing this, have I ever bruised from this until now. I woke up yesterday, 4 days post procedure, with a bloody bag under my eye, and my entire right eye covered in bruises, and both eyes are looking MUCH worse- wrinkly, crepey, baggy, and just overall hideous. I read up on this and it is due to misplacement of the needle- too low or too deep, and too much product. This will loosen the skin even more if done improperly such as this. Now I get to wait weeks and weeks and hope it subsides and goes away. Not to mention when he was doing it, he had to stop mid way and leave the room to get more, like he wasn't even prepared, and when he was finished it was like ok, I'm done, good bye. Ladies, PLEASE do not go here for any cosmetic facial treatments. It may be less expensive than a skilled and medically trained dermatologist, but you get what you pay for. No mention of any follow up with me, or call if you have an concerns or questions, just did it and done. I will NOT be going back here again, ever.
