This dental practice is hard to chew much less swallow. When I made a phone call appointment I explicitly stated prophylaxis and checkup and asked if the cleaning was free as with other dentists affiliated with my insurance. I was told it was. On the day of my appointment I was made to wait 40 minutes, after which I was called in and two aloof staff members (a male and a female) prepped me, all the while talking over my head. Dr. Anoushfar finally came out after 20 more minutes, donned gloves and rummaged around my mouth, rattled off over $5,000 worth of repairs to her assistant, generated the list for me and refused to give me a cleaning which, she said, they don't do until "your first appointment."
It took her all of ten minutes and I did not see her smile once. Stressful, brusque, and impersonal is how I'd characterize her practice. I was not even given a chance to discuss options. I have since decided to take my $5,000 worth of business to much friendlier and warmer dentists.
