Dr. Davidson's recommendation to replace a filling, during a routine cleaning, ended with two months of pain and a root canal. After the filling replacement he said, "if you experience pain when you go home, don't think this means you need a root canal". Thousands of dollars and two specialists later, I lost the perfectly healthy tooth that I firmly believe Dr. Davidson killed with his rough, careless treatment. His office did not return calls, refused to release the family records to another dentist, and billed our family (in addition to his payment from insurance) for the work he did even though he was well aware of the medical and financial trauma he inflicted. Two Endodonists agreed that he must have hit the nerve which killed the tooth. Replacing a good filling is questionable, but because I had dental insurance, it would seem Dr. Davidson did work that was not necessary.
