I am writing this review for my sister who was a first time patient of Dr. Ploskonka. She is a Senior Citizen with Hypertension. He was aware of this. He pulled 2 teeth and one was abcessed. While he did give an antibiotic, he attempted to drain the abcess unsuccessfully. He then proceeded to pull the tooth and cut her gums. He continued to pull the tooth despite her trying to get out of the chair as she screamed in agony. It was said you could hear her all over the office. Her blood pressure skyrocketed to stroke levels and he left her in the office with his Assistant. He never came back to check on her, not even to see if she had stabilized. I was so appalled at this story that I had to google him to see if he was actually a doctor. A first year dental student would not have behaved this poorly. He should have stopped the procedure when she started to scream but should have been monitorin her comfort level and her blood pressure, neither of which was done. His staff was so concerned about the payment since my sister does not have insurance that her daughter had to be called to make a payment via phone before they would even see her .My advice? Don't see this dentist, you may end up in a hospital. My sister almost did.
