Dr. Olech is not a board-certified orthodontist, so do not get your treatment for adult mouth braces from him or any other general dentist. In Aug. 2007 I switched to an orthodontist. I'd had my adult braces for three years with Dr. Olech. Originally he told me I'd have them for about 18 months. He pulled four teeth and yet my teeth, while somewhat straight, were still crowded. There were still small gaps between my upper teeth. I sought a second opinion--this time with a board-certified orthodontist. He expressed concern about my treatment. At minimum, he said I had another 7-8 months to go. After three years of wearing these braces, this doctor thought my teeth should have been in MUCH better condition. Overall, Dr. Olech was not very chairside friendly. He did not volunteer treatment information. You had to ask him to find out what's going on. He did not wear a mask during clinical work with me, which is poor infectious precaution protocol. I received quarterly teeth cleanings: but my wires were not even removed during the cleanings! I'm very disappointed and feel ripped-off. DO NOT go to this dentist. Lastly, I am a science writer with the American Dental Association.

I know this doctor: 3 years
