I visited the whiter and brighter dental office on May 13, 2006 (Saturday) in Westwood and Dr. Hersel was on duty. It was my second dental visit since I moved to LA. My first visit to the West LA dental office one month ago did not give me a pleasant experience. So I decided to change to another office. I purchased my X-ray from WLA dental at a cost of $35. They suggested me for a deep cleaning. I would like to get a second opinion.
Front desk is Janet, who is a sweet girl. After reviewing my X-ray, Dr. Hersel also suggested deep cleaning. They charged $900 for this procedure and my co-pay was $180 with Delta Dental Insurance. I hesitated because WLA could do it without charge money out of my pocket. Janet talked to Dr. Hersel and they decided to waive my co-pay of $180. So I decided to do the deep cleaning there.
I did not ask for anesthesia because I want it to be done once. The procedure took about 15 to 20 minutes. I felt pain all the time. Dr. Hersel kept asking me my feeling, which was very nice. But I didn't feel that I got enough explanation. The charge was quite high but I was happy that they waived my co-pay. I am still wondering if it was worth $900. I hope the procedure can give me good results on my teeth.
