Gum graft from pallet to lower gums. It's not fun and you have to be very careful during post-op and follow directions explicitly, which I did. The pain is not so bad, and I took Darvocet (which is extremely constipating so be sure to drink plenty of fluids and get liquid fiber - and don't reply on a constant diet of ice cream! - Becausee ice cream is constipating too and I ended up in the ER I was so blocked!) Be prepared to do nothing for a few days. But Dr. Blanton's staff were extremely good at explaining and emphasizing the post-op directions. She also called me on Sunday to check to see how I was doing. The stitches and dead skin will slough off which is freaky, but I called Dr. Blanton's beeper on a Friday night 9 days after surgery, and she called me back in 5 min to assure me. The procedure itself was painless. They knock you out with an IV drip. She got the vein immediately and I had no bruise or anything to know there had been an IV in my arm. She and her staff are completely professional a SO EXPERIENCED. There is no substitution for that level of knowledge. If you need a periodontist - go to her. Dr. Blanton's office filed the insurance claim for me but is out-of-network. It was worth the investment!

About Hygienist: The best! My teeth have not been cleaned so well in years - and again - completely professional, no-nonsense, and highly trained and experienced.

I know this doctor: 2 months
