Dr. Harwood explained my situation with the utmost honesty and helped me to weigh my options. I appreciate his honesty and respect his professionalism. He does not pull teeth just for the sake of pulling them as many doctors do. I would recommend him any and all.

Since I chose Dr. Harwood by reading the recommendations on this site, I owe the review. I had my wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Harwood recently (August 2005). It was an overall very good experience. I've been told that the surgery costs $600+ depending on the condition of the tooth. Mine was halfway out so it was an easy extraction, and he did charge only $325. He is really nice and professional. His staff were friendly. I would recommend him to anyone.

I had to have a broken wisdom tooth extracted on emergency (my wisdom's hadn't been removed as a young person). Dr. Harwood's office was accommodating, and the nurses were very nice. They took me in right away. Dr. Harwood greeted me pleasantly, and after examining my horribly broken tooth, he soothed my fears and immediately assured me that the removal would be relatively painless. The process turned out just a he said, and I was out of the office in about 40 minutes from entry to the office to payment for services. I now must return to remove the two other wisdom teeth (only had 3 total-luckily). I don't look forward to getting the impacted tooth broken out, but I am certain that Dr. Harwood and his staff will make it an easy procedure. The most painful part will probably be having to listen to the unpleasant sounds, but I am sure that Dr. Harwood will make the procedure as comfortable and quick as possible. I confidence that I will be well taken care of.

I was referred to Dr. Harwood's office by a dentist in my area when they couldn't fix my tooth (it was a wisdom tooth that had to be pulled). I got there early in the morning, without an appointment and in pain and the doc saw me right away. The procedure was to take an X-Ray of my teeth, then I was sat down in a chair and the doctor walked in. I was somewhat apprehensive about the deal as I'd never had oral surgery done before. Noticing this, the doctor explained what he was doing and recommended some ways to deal with the apprehension, most notably suggesting it would be a good idea to wear headphones as the scariest part of the procedure would be the sounds coming out of my mouth as he broke up the tooth. Alas, I didn't have any. Surgery itself took about 15 seconds. The doc applied anesthetic, made sure I couldn't feel a thing and snagged the tooth out before I even knew he was doing it. An excellent, painless procedure that took no time at all and erased my fears of oral surgery at the same time.
