Dr. Kusakabe immediately set my mind at ease by introducing himself as "Kent" "Kusakabe." Very unassuming, great explanation of what was happening with my teeth, personable and pleasant. In short, the best "bedside manner" of any dentist I've known.
Highly recommended--I was able to get treated at the Charter College clinic for dental assistants program, so the fees were very reasonable, and the location convenient, too.
About Front Desk: Scheduling was fantastic (Tasha & Cynthia). Everyone was really pleasant & professional.

I knew by the 2nd visit that there was something very wrong with him. His office is dirty,he has very old equipment and it is all covered with plastic food wrap!!
Kent Kusakabe cut the right-side of my mouth with a drill and then acted like he by chance noticed it bleeding and then said " you must of made me mad, ypou must have made me mad to cut you like that! What did you do to make me mad, what did you do to make me mad?" over and over and over! This is after he drilled my back left molar and filled the tooth, he had me hold my mouth open to let the filling material air-dry(not with air forced from a dental instrument, but by the air!) while he ate his lunch for over 20 minutes!!! I swallowed so much mercury from not being able to hold my mouth open. He knew that I had previously had a broken jaw and in fact told me 2 visits before that one.
I thought about why he would treat me like this and then I realized that I had re-scheduled appointments 2 times and it probably cost him money for the lost time!
The guy is a sadist and enjoys giving pain! He's very scary! I would not EVER recomend him or go to him EVER AGAIN.
About Hygienist: no hygenist and no other persons like a receptionist are at his office, this makes it very easy for him to get away with stuff because there is no one to witness what he's doing!

In my 16 years with Kent Kusakabe, I have nothing but great experiences to speak of. He has no dental hygienist, prefering to do the work himself. He is very gentle and caring.
He is never quick to suggest expensive work, but will recommend watching an area of concern until the next visit unless he is concerned it will not resolve itself. His office isn't flashy, but his work is the absolute best!
Even my husband will not go anywhere else now : )
