Dr. Barizo is adequate but seems defensive if you have a lot of questions or concerns. She feels that a patient should trust her implicitly and seems threatened when clients have questions about approach or outcomes. Perhaps it is the malpractice claims fears that many doctors these days have to guard against. Which is understandable. If you like to take a hand in your own oral health and appreciate someone open to your questions I would not recommend her as a collaborator. She is pleasant and the office is lovely. Still, if perfect outcomes are what you seek and you would like to feel welcome to ask whatever is on your mind, this is probably not the right fit for you. In addition, her ease with staff is not seamless. I sense some lack of coordination, oversight and understanding between her and her dental assistant during procedures.
About Hygienist: Hygienist work and care is superb. Truly outstanding. The hygienist Karin has worked in this practice for many years and is a genius, patient, conscientious, tireless and thorough in making sure your gums stay healthy and even staining is removed. She is painless and goes the extra mile toward perfection in prophylactic care. Anyone would be fortunate to be in her care. Karin also has a gentle and warm disposition which can add to the experience and make this procedure a welcome part of anyone's health care bi-annually. She gets my highest rating and appreciation.
