Highly recommend Dr. Pope. I have never felt any pain with any of the dental work I have had. He is very honest and will not perform any work unless it is neccessary. He has a wonderful bedside manner and a great sense of humor. At one time, I dreaded going to the dentist, but not to Dr. Pope. I hate to see the day he retires!

FOR ADULTS: Relax-- as dentists go, one of the best. Extremely understanding of fears, VERY concerned for pain. Tells pts to say right away, should not BE pain in proceedure. Analgesics injections slow, easy, minimal pain: no neg. response if HE thinks med given should be enough, but is not to pt.
Prices not cheapest in town, lower than many, reasonable and fair. Nice equip- up to date. Clean space, childrens' area.
FOR CHILDREN: He and one hygenist can be impatient with active ones, like asking many questions on what he is/will do, touching things at chairside from curiosity. Understood, equipment expensive; children do not- curiosity to be handled accordingly.
SUGGESTION: don't leave children alone in proceedure rooms- even older ones if immature or disab, ADHD or learn diasb. Wait in lobby (w/child area FOR them) until he is ready. Even after cleaning bring out and hold room until staff ready to be with them. Child ready waiting in proceedure room with tempting equip is for STAFF conv; must forgo, make accom. for children.
