I had never been terribly afraid of the dentist before, but after having my crown done here, I have a lot of anxiety to have any serious work done. The procedure was not clearly discussed with me so when we inserted the needle into my lower jaw and I felt a horrible pain all the way to my tongue, I screamed out of shock. Dr. King got irritated, explained that he had hit a nerve but I shouldn't have moved, then left the room for about 40 minutes. When he returned he used a different instrument to numb the gum before inserting the needle again; terrified, I asked for a minute, but which he replied "I already gave you 40 minutes", and proceeded. He hit nerves again, but I endured it. The rest of the procedure went well, until I came back to get the permanent crown. It was still tender and as they tried, like 30 times, to affix the crown, so I winced. He literally threatened that if I can't take the pain he would have to use a needle to numb me, after he had promised the previous visit that there would be no more needles. After this experience, I am even more terrified that I have to have two impacted wisdom teeth extracted, since he told me I could have permanent nerve damage from the extraction. I will never go there again.

•Emergency dental patients are seen immediately- not days later! I broke a tooth and had to wait for insurance approval. He does dental work without telling you how much the procedure cost. If your dental insurance does not accept his work, you get a whopping dental bill. He will not complete the procedure until you pay for the work he did. I got blind sided by a hugh bill that I never expected. I still have broked tooth with dental insurance. His office staff is quite abrasive. They turned me down and said he did not have time to see me. I still have incomplete crown work.

About Hygienist: They do good work, but customer service and pleasing individuals needs a lot of work. Dr. King probably does not know that his staff is abrasive.

I have finally decided to leave Dr. King's practice. The only reason I stayed with him that long is because he was right down the street from my house. The front desk is amazing! Very nice & friendly. The dental hygienists are very friendly too. However...here comes the problem....if you need any 'work' done...be prepared for it to get screwed up. Dr. King did my crown, and then after me STILL having pain, he refers me to an endodontist (which he should have done BEFORE he put the crown on to see if a root canal was what I needed in the first place) who says I need a root canal! So I had to have my brand new crown drilled through...guess what....only 1 year after Dr. King did my veneers...IT BROKE OFF IN HALF!!! JUST CRUMBLED!! Funny enough...my sister went there...sure enough he tells her she needs to have an old filling replaced. After they replaced it she started having pain...she had to go back FOUR TIMES and each time they said "we don't see anything' give it more time. After 1 month of this...she finally goes AGAIN and they tell her...guess what....her tooth now has a crack in it and she needs a CROWN!! For a tooth that was perfectly fine before they started screwing with it! AND she needed a ROOT CANAL.

About Hygienist: Be prepared for VERY LONG waiting times! The assistants will call him, you will wait FOREVER, and then he will be with you in a very hurried manner all of 2 minutes, then on to the next one. It is very clear that he is all about making money & doesn't care about the quality of care. He is just herding people through as fast as he can to make as much as he can. Pathetic!!

I came in to have a simple filling redone. I had no discomfort what so ever, a filling had just fell out. They took an xray and said I had another cavity under another filling. So I told them lets just do it all right now. For the next 10 days my mouth was sore. I told them I still couldn't chew on the right side of my mouth. They grinded the tooth 3 more times redid the filling again. Then the Mr. King came to look at it he grinded it down and said well its not a cracked tooth. He had me come back three days later, I still couldn't chew. He was like here bite on this cotton ball I bit on it released and the pain shot he was like its a cracked tooth you need a crown. Hmmm my tooth wasn't cracked until you guys drilled it saying I had a cavity underneath it. I was told that we are treating the symptoms. So what if the crown doesn't work then what a root canal. Someone needs to take this mans license. You dont treat symptoms, your a doctor (dentist). Find the problem fix it and if you screw up man up and fix it.

Very thorough evaluation, discussed all the treatment options (including recommending an outside specialist for things beyond his expertise). I have only 2 complaints about my visit: First, it seemed that his hygenist was pushing me(repeatedly, throughout the visit) to invest in "optional" treatments, etc, which made it seem she was working on commission like a used-car salesman. Second, the same exam and treatments ended up costing about $50 more per person than my last dentist charged (which is hundreds of dollars a year more for the family, as we don't have any dental insurance).

Dr. King and his staff are very friendly and courteous. The will take the time to explain all the ends and outs of you insurance coverage, and what it will cover. Because of their high standards they use only the white fillings, so you don't end up with a mouth full of metal. My personal experience was extraordinary. Dr. King, while a bit quirky, is the best dentist I have ever had the... pleasure? ... of visiting. He and his staff are fast and efficient. I had two cavaties filled during my second visit and was impressed with the level of technology he employed and the comfort level he strived to give with the procedure he would be performing. He showed me my x-rays on his computer, focusing on the discolorations caused by the cavaties, and then he pulled out a digital camera that looked a bit like a lighted tooth brush, and took some pictures of the cavaties. This allowed me to see the impact my sometimes careless brushing techniques had on these teeth, and know where he was about to work. I went in for a 6 month cleaning and check-up, but decided while I was there that I wanted a FMX, flouride, etc... They rolled with the punches and accomidated me timely and with minimal discomfort. I highly recommed Dr. King.
