I would like to alter an earlier review I submitted for this dentist. after some reflection ( I was his patient a year and a half ago) I believe I was too harsh. I have very recessed gums and uneven teeth. He did make a good crown; and spent some time adjusting it. I think he did the best he could do, with a difficult mouth. Perhaps not the best "chairside" manner for me, but I would hardly warn anyone to "beware" this doctor! My root was slightly exposed but, I do have severe gum recession and anyone can make a mistake. I have not seen him since then, and I make this correction to be more accurate and less critical.

Dr. Jobe performed 2 fillings for me in 2008. He seemed to have great difficulty in the procedure and I was left with pain for months. I've since had to spend close to $1k to have the fillings RE-filled, as space was left between the filling and my gumline. This resulted in further decay and damage. Over 3 years later, I still have pain in the teeth that he worked on. I highly regret having seen this dentist, and should have stuck with my trusted local dentist.

I became a paitient of Dr. Jobe's when I went to Dr. Froum for a peridontial exam. I had a broken tooth and Froum recommended Jobe, who was doing the dental work in his office. I decided to let Jobe do the crown because I wanted to stay in Dr. Froums' office (I had suffered severe gum recession and I felt safer in his office for this reason). The cost was extremely high (2500$) but I figured I would get the best work done, the best treatment and the best crown. I was totally wrong. Dr. Jobe was rough, sloppy, did not work smoothly with his assistant, seemed oblivious to the pain and discomfort he caused me during both visits. I was very insecure when I went to get the permenant crown put in. And I was right; a few days later I realized it was not reaching the gum line and had to be redone! I did not complain about Jobe because I figured, at least the crown will be good. When I realized I had to go back to him, I did complain. Dr. Froum returned most of my money. On August 16th, my dentist removed the crown inorder to replace it. He said the tooth was underprepared and the layer of porcelain on the crown was too thin! So what was all that money for? Inferior work, lousy treatment, no chair-side manner and a cheap crown. BEWARE JOBE

I had bonding done to my 4 front upper teeth after speaking with Dr. Jobe about my options for fixing some uneven chips. He was warm and genial, but still very honest and professional. I had all the information about the pros and cons of my choice before the procedure. His work is efficient and thorough - I love the results. I also know that if I ever had a problem with the bonding, I could give him a call and be able to have repair work done easily.

I highly recommend Dr Jobe. He gives quality care, and is professional and personable. He listens to your questions and concerns and provides you with the best options for you and your health. I have seen him for routine check ups over the years, as well as for fillings, and most recently I had a tooth that was in serious need of a root canal and crown. The entire staff of Park 56 Dental is helpful and friendly, making you feel at ease as soon as you enter the office. I have somewhat difficult insurance, but they were willing to work through it with me, providing payment plans if necessary and answering all of my questions. (Thank you Michelle)
About Hygienist: All of the hygienists that I have seen at Park 56 Dental are friendly and efficient.

Dr. Jobe is one of the best dentists I've ever had. Down to earth and to the point. If he wasn't...I wouldn't be writing this! I've bounced around to many different dentists over the past 15 years--and I know that I'll be with Dr. Jobe for a long time. Great facilities (internet, TV, etc!) and friendly staff. Just felt compelled to give him a thumbs up...

I moved to NYC two years ago, and hadn't found a competent Doctor that I trusted as much as my doctor in Ohio. Dr. Jobe just had an immediate sense of trust around him, and I felt safe and just knew it was a right fit. He did great work, and I can't begin to say how much I appreciate his help!

I have had nothing but positive experiences in the 10 years I have known Dr. Jobe. And he just moved to a beautiful midtown office off of Park Avenue - everyone who works there is incredibly nice and helpful (even when dealing with my insurance). As long as I live in NYC, Dr. Jobe will be my dentist.

I would NOT recommend this dentist. he gave me a crown, a month later it broke, he replaced it and two months later it broke again. I only have one other crown that is over 10 years old and never broke! additionally, for months i kept talling him that i had sensitivity in a tooth, he told me to use sensodyne toothpaste. the sensitivity persisted so i went to another dentist who said that my tooth was cracked and i ended up needing a crown.

I recently moved to the city and have been looking for a dentist. Was recommended to Dr. Jobe by a colleague and am happy with my choice. The staff is helpful and courteous and conveniently located in midtown!
