Dr. Marks is painless, kind and gentle. He is a family practioner and my children love going to the dentist. I feel confident that my entire family is provided the best dental care possible. I highly recommend Dr. Marks and his staff.

Dr. Marks has performed pain-free dentistry on me and my family for the past 25 years. As someone that is terrified of having dental work done, and needing more than my fair share, Dr. Marks has not only given me exceptional dental care, he is compassionate regarding my anxieties. He explains everything clearly and concisely and NEVER performs any procedure without full disclosure as to the reasons why it is needed, as well as allowing me to view xrays (on state-of-the-art equipment) so that I can actually see the issue. He also has done cosmetic dentistry for me, which changed the entire look of my smile (for the better!!). Dr. Marks is not in my neighborhood, but I travel just to have him do my dental work for the piece of mind it gives me to know that I will have an extremely skilled, caring, well-educated dentist taking care of me. None better!!!

Dr. Marks is an exceptional dentist. I've been a patient of his for over 30 years, as have both my sons and many other people I know. Over the years, he has done a variety of procedures for me ranging from filling cavities, to root canals, to dental implants. And I have NEVER felt a moment of pain in his dental chair. Not even when being given shots to numb my mouth. He has a calm, professional demeanor - always informative. He is the best dentist with children that I have ever seen. Furthermore, he keeps up with all the latest techniques and shows concern for all patient needs, ranging from minimizing radiation from X-Rays to calling after a procedure to make sure the patient is OK. Though I no longer live in the neighborhood in which he practices, I will drive over half an hour to see him and wouldn't dream of going to another dentist. For many people a visit to the dentist is an unpleasant experience that they keep putting off. The opposite is true for a visit to Dr. Marks. His staff is pleasant. His office is clean and home-like. And most importantly, his skills and knowledge are as good as it gets.
About Front Desk: Jill at the front desk is friendly and efficient. She keeps everything moving and has a lively personality.
About Hygienist: Sharon's been cleaning my teeth for years. She's the best - thorough and gentle. Always concerned with my comfort. I walk out of there with the cleanest teeth in New York! (Not to mention a free toothbrush).

Dr. Marks has provided extensive dental treatment for me and my family for more than 20 years. He is extremely thoughtful in his approach to care, taking into consideration the cost, treatment options and long-term impact. His treatment is remarkably painless and timely. He has the most up-to-date technology and computer software. Most impressive is his bedside manner. He always has time to speak with you, will follow-up with personal calls after a particular procedure, and is available for an emergency. He always returns my calls personally. He is an experienced professional.
About Front Desk: Dr. Marks has had the same front desk staff for years. She is always pleasant, efficient and has a very down to earth manner. The office has a personal feel that is rare these days in a medical facility.
About Hygienist: Dr. Marks has very experienced Hygienists who work quickly with a gentle touch.

Dr. Marks provides painless, compassionate dentistry. He as well as his staff provide a calming, comfortable experience. He has been my family's dentist for many years. He has treated my parents and my children with equal expertise. Dr. Marks is a general dentist that has up to date technology and experience.

Often people will write negative reviews and statements possibly due to their own inadequacies. Not often enough will people take the time to give positive feedback. I would like to take this opportunity to commend Dr Marks. My family and I have been patients of his for over twenty years. We have always found him to be painless, gentle, caring and professional. Whenever I am in his office I am confident that I am in the best care of any dentist that I know. Dr Marks always takes the time to explain everything that he has to do. I know that all my dental work is being done by a very qualified and extremely knowledgeable dentist. I hope to continue to be a patient of Dr Mark's for many more years.

Dr Barrow Marks is a wonderful dentist. He is gentle, attentive, kind, and thorough. He has been our dentist 30 years and even though I moved out of the neighborhood over a decade ago, I still see Dr Marks for all my dental needs from check-ups to caps to implants. He has never hurt me and is thoughtful and kind. He's always had state of the art equipment and a wonderful staff.

WARNING: Dr. Barrow Marks is the worst dentist I have ever been to. In January 2011, I went to Dr. Marks who did two root canals and three crowns. The root canals were not done correctly and the three crowns his lab fabricated were over sized. I moved back to Los Angeles in June of 2011 and a few months later the two teeth that Dr. Marks performed the root canals on were massively infected. My oral surgeon in Beverly Hills informed me the root canals were not completed to the end of the root and thus caused these infections. I had to have up to six oral surgeries and retreatments to save my teeth. Unfortunately one could not be saved and had to be extracted. I spent over $6000 at Dr. Marks and hired an attorney to get me my money back but Dr. Marks' malpractice insurance, Fortress, denied the claim. I have now spent over $5000 to have surgeries, retreatments, extractions and a bridge fabricated to replace his AWFUL work and oversized crowns replaced at an out of pocket cost of over $11,000. Do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER see Dr. Barrow Marks for dental work.
