I moved to Astoria four years ago and am happy to have found such a great dentist in my area. Dr. Levine's office is clean and bright, and the secretaries and hygienist are very nice. Dr. Levine himself is an amusing man. I don't have a lot of problems with my teeth, only the occasional cavity, so I've never needed any treatment from them aside from the standard cleaning and x-ray. I've been there three times and have had only positive experiences.
About Hygienist: The hygienist here is great. I unfortunately don't remember her name, but I think she's the only hygienist there. Very friendly and knowledgeable, and she takes her time cleaning as well as explaining the process, checking gum health as well as the tongue for any cancerous-looking things. She also smooths a numbing gel on your gums so the scraping doesn't hurt, but it's not a violent scraping either. I leave feeling nice and clean.

Dr. Levine's entire office experience is the best I've ever had. His office staff, including receptionist and dental assistants are competent and friendly. All of my billing and insurance needs have always been handled completely. They have interceded on my behalf to make sure the insurance company reimbursed for all covered expenses.
The care and education I have received from his dental hygienist has helped to keep my teeth free of any complications in years (after always needing fillings and corrective work).
Dr. Levine is an expert in his field. He is a professional , with a capital 'P'. Everything he does is with complete care and attention to detail. When I first got to his office, my teeth were a mess. He has brought my teeth back to good health. Where I always used to be subjected to painful procedures, Dr. Levine's technique has been pain-free. He is an incredibly funny man, so any visit to his office is looked forward to, instead of dreaded, like the old days.
I can recommend Dr. Levine without reservation!
