I had an open-bite and had a midface lefort. Dr. Nish Shah didn't tell me, until the day before the surgery, that he was going to have to make changes to my nose. This was after two years of already wearing braces to prepare for the surgery. He assured me that I wouldn't notice any difference, and that all of the changes would be made to the inside of my nose only. Now the tip of my nose is rotated up very high, my left nostril looks like a canyon, and is super exposed. I used to have to tilt my head very far back to look up my nose, but now it is very easy to see inside of it when I barely tilt my head back at all. This surgery was done when I was 24. I am 33 now, and I still regret having the surgery to this day. It greatly impacted my self-esteem, and I hate taking photos. Many times I have tried to contact him to ask him to fix my nose, or to pay to have it corrected by someone else, but he has never offered to do so. Honestly, I would be afraid to let him try again. I feel like he was deliberately deceptive waiting until the day before my surgery to inform me that my nose would be changed. Had I known that from the very beginning I would have reconsidered. He was paid $16,000 dollars to do the surgery, and he lied

Dr. Shah extracted tooth #30 to prepare it for an implant. He removed it and placed the implant into the bone on the same visit rather than return 2 months later. His dental assistant told me this was her idea. Before follow up gums were infected. Staff was pushy and arrogant when I called about my infection. He agreed I had some infection and he prescribed an antibiotic. Next follow-up appointment still in much pain. He said he could do a few things like open a small flap to see underneath. He said the pain was due to an exposed nerve on an adjacent tooth. I made an appointment with another dentist. This dentist said, in no uncertain terms, there is no exposed nerve on the adjacent tooth and that the pain on tooth #30 was due to more inflammation and infection. He said act FAST or I would lose the tooth, the implant, and the nearly $3000 I have paid out of pocket along with whatever my insurance company paid. Dr. Shah did not respond to an email I sent on his web site nor did he return any of my phone calls. I have begun my formal complaint about Dr. Shah with the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners and will do so with whatever other avenue that exists to have him investigated. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

About Front Desk: Not at all friendly. Pushy. Cannot be counted on to pass along messages.
