I cannot tell you how expensive Dr. Schaus is!!! He is also quite cold in his patient manner. I do not expect to continue with seeing him as he just is not someone who's hands I want in my mouth again.

I know this doctor: 2 years

Nice enough offices - I'm not there for the decor. Great staff, and Dr. Schaus is the best dentist I've had. His work has been high quality, and cost-comparable to other dentists in the area. His assistants, hygienist and office staff are all top-notch, as well. I've referred several friends to his practice, and they have all been very pleased, as well. If you're looking for a spa-like experience, keep looking; if you're looking for quality care, excellent service, and a dentist who won't 'make up' work to do, Dr. Schaus should do nicely for you. I'm terrified of dentists, and he has yet to cause any pain or discomfort. I trust him implicitly, and his staff treat you like family.

I have been going to Dr. Schaus for about 10 years. I used to work in the same building with him, but even after moving to an office about 12 miles away, I continue to go downtown to see him. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and stable. I have had fillings, crowns, night guard, and other related treatments from Dr. Schaus, and have always felt comfortable and secure in his care. I have a long and varied dental history, and Dr. Schaus is by far the most pain-free dentist I have ever had. Hope runs the front desk, and is helpful with insurance, billing, and any other issues. On the few occasions I have needed immediate help, Hope and Dr. Schaus found a way to work me in. The hygienists are thorough and efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. I get the feeling Dr. Schaus may be a little pricey, but I have never had much trouble getting coverage, so I guess he's not too far out of line. If you work in "uptown" Charlotte, Dr. Schaus is especially convenient since he is right in the middle of town. Otherwise, expect to pay anywhere from $3 to $10 for parking, and schedule your appointments away from rush hour. And allow an extra 5-10 minutes to walk to the office. One note --- I have never seen a child in his office.
