He cleans teeth himself and doesn't do a very thorough job. He is very quick and just doesn't do much but charges the regular prices. He cleaned my teeth every 6 months and always said my teeth and gums were 'great'! Then all of a sudden, he told me I needed gum surgery! When he does fillings, he is careless and tends to hurt you with instruments and the drill. I know several people who went there for a while and also had poor experiences and didn't stick with him. I also noticed that the office is not very clean.

Dr. Rischall is a great dentist. The clinic / converted house offers a stress free environment. Even though it is a one person shop, he still uses the latest technology, digital X-rays are an amazing tool.

Rischall is the best dentist in town. Ever since he pulled a wisdom tooth out 20 years ago in less than three minutes while listening to neoclassical music, I've been a huge fan. My husband is from another country and had been terrified of dentists until he met Rischall. Now he looks forward to his appointments even though he's had root canals and other serious issues. My kids like him even though he clearly states he's not a children's dentist. And it's not because of fancy toys because he doesn't do that. He doesn't believe in over charging and he clearly knows his stuff.

I am a long-time patient of Dr. Rischall and have had nothing but positive experiences under his care. I make this statement as a patient who really fears dental work. He puts me at ease, remembers all of my quirky likes and disklikes, and frequently follows up a more difficult procedure with a personal phone call to find out how I'm doing. Friendliness and caring are hallmarks of his practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Rischall for almost 20 years. He works out of a converted house on Grand Avenue, which doesn't have the clinical feel of most dental offices, and only employs a receptionist and an assistant. He does his own cleaning and examinations. His novocaine injection procedure, when necessary, is about as painless as it can be. He carefully explains procedures and does whatever he can to make the patient feel comfortable.
