Dr Ralph Hoffman and his entire staff are super pleasant, effective, and honest. I highly recommend them to anyone in San Francisco.
The office is in the Sunset, so it's easy to find a parking spot and they'll feed the meter if you're there for more than 1 hour (bring some change :-)
Dr Hoffman has given me 3 crowns. My front top tooth looks perfect. My molar crown has been in for over a year without trouble. The newest crown just went in. So far, so good.
Dr. Hoffman's hygienists clean my teeth flawlessly and encourage me to brush ... and floss!

Awesomely nice and personable, very smart and utterly honest. Who sez the facilities aren't comfortable! I think they are. In seeing Dr. Hoffman I have experienced none of the usual death by a thousand cuts of seeing the dentist: a little bit humiliating, a little bit physically painful, a little bit expensive, a little bit tedious, a little bit of pedantic (m)oral censure on your habits. Repeat, I have NOT experienced these bad things at Dr. Hoffman's, with the possible exception of the expense, but leave that aside for the purpose of this review. Chairside manner, expertise, insurance help are all excellent.

I have visited this dentist 3 times and have been happy with his services. Everyone is very nice.

I have been going to Dr. Hoffman for about 3 years now. I have had several fillings, a crown and several cleanings.
I am always happy to see him and his staff. Everyone always remembers me and are always pleasant. I recently recommended my friend start seeing him, and to his surprise, he found that he needed a root canal - something his other dentist didn't detect. The root canal wasn't impacted yet but was clearly on its way. He was happy to have seen Dr. Hoffman when he did!
