Dr. Wegmann is personable but can sometimes come across as arrogant. Referred me to periodontist when he could not diagnose exactly where pain was coming from. Six months after periodontal surgery (very expensive) I had to have a tooth pulled as it was cracked all along and the original source of my pain. The extraction was a nightmare but he did a good job with the bridge. He and his assistants could be better at communicating instructions for what to do after the extraction. I wish I would have gotten a second opinion prior to the unnecessary periodontal surgery.

Dr. Wegmann is terrible. First, he used metal fillings, even when I asked about using ceramic ones, because, according to him, the metal ones last longer. The fillings were very rough and I cut my tongue on them because he didn't file them down properly. He was rough and brusque, and I felt like I didn't exist when he was working on my teeth. So I got a new dentist, who informed me that Dr. Wegmann butchered one of my teeth. My filllings are still rough, and they feel loose. Furthermore, I think I need a root canal in one of them because food got stuck under the poorly-done filling.

I have been satisfied with Dr. Wegmann's work so far. His office has convenient hours and the Loop location is very convenient as well.

My results with Wegmann were overall pretty good for the procedure I had done, but the general cleaning his staff did for me was sub-par and half-hearted. As an aside, the facilities seemed a bit dated. I'd go back to Wegmann if he was primary care dentist and was close, but if someone had a strong referral to another dentist in the same area, I'd probably take it.

I wished that I could have found another dentist from the moment I sat in his chair. He was dismissive, couldn't be bothered to answer my questions, and insensitive about my anxiety! The only reason I didn't go to another dentist was that my insurance wouldn't have paid for a visit to a different dentist. I am just waiting until my insurance company lets me switch dentists. The receptionist and hygenists are also rude and have attitude.

I THINK THE REVIEWS THAT I SEEN ABOUT DR. WEGMANN ARE A FEW DISGRUNTAL PEOPLE,COMPARED TOO THE 1000 + PATIENTS HE HAS TAKEN GREAT CARE OF FOR MANY YEARS !!!!!!!!! I,M A HAPPY PATIENT OF DR. WEGMANNS AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE ONE. IT,S HARD TOO PLEASE EVERYONE BUT I,M SURE DR.WEGMANN TRIES TOO BE AS CAREFUL AS HE CAN,I PERSONALLY HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS. I,M SURE IF HIS SERVICES WERE FREE WE PROBALLY WOULD HERE ANY NEGITIVE COMMENTS, BUT WE ALL HAVE TOO MAKE A HONEST LIVING LIKE MY DENTIST DR.GARY WEGMANN. Ive gone to Dr. Wegmann for the past 6 years and have had nothing but the best care and attention given to me. I have recommended him to many friends and all my family members. His staff has always treated me well and is extremely pleasant. Camelia (his receptionist) is just a doll and his assistant Kisha never skips a beat.
What a great team!!!!!!!! See you all in 6 months!!!

I can't beleive my ears with all the other reviews I read. Are they talking about Dr. "G"???? I wonder if someone is personally out to get him. I am 50 years old and have lot's of dental work done. Dr."G" is the only Dentist I would recommend As a CLASS ACT. All he has done is make my smile better, fixed my teath, and made me fell "at home" when in his chair... The cost is minimal when you fell at home with a Professional. He is the BEST Dentist I've ever been to. If you want my advise......Go to the Best..... Dr."G" He is way out of our league with dentistry. Professional, Knowledgeable, Frendly, Kind, etc.....Oh and about his staff....You can't find a better bunch of Roses. My experience with Dr. Wegman was one of the best I have ever had with any dentist.
I took my son in with a cracked front tooth. My son was in quiet a bit of pain. As any 14 year old boy he was most concerned about his appearance after a broken front tooth. Dr. Wegman not only did an exceptional job repairing his tooth but he went the extra mile to make sure my son was relaxed and assured him the damage would be undetectable. The work was done fast and in a very professional manner. We could never have asked for more.
As a Mom I will never take my children to see another Dentist.
