I went to Dr. Zerafat for a cleaning appointment. I asked when I scheduled the appointment on the phone if they accepted my insurance and if the cleaning would be covered. Dr. Zerafat comes in, looks at my teeth and tells me he needs to schedule another appointment for cleaning because he needs to contact my insurance and see if it's covered. I let him know it would have been nice if that would have been discussed over the phone without me coming all the way in. I could have called the insurance myself and figured that out. I was there for a cleaning appointment, yet I could get my teeth cleaned? He proceeded to be the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever interacted with. He had such a bad attitude that I got up out of the chair and told him I was going to find a new dentist. Do not waste your time with this sad excuse for a dentist. He is a bad person and I'm surprised his business has not been shut down.

One day was far too long to know this man. I went in for a cleaning/check-up. He looked at my teeth briefly and didn't do a proper gum exam where they grade the mm depth of the pockets and record numbers. He insisted my gums were too bad that I needed to get a deep cleaning (scaling and root planning) and cleanings every 3 months, which would cost me a lot above my insurance. He refused to do a regular cleaning and put that off until the next visit or even fully explain the procedure to me. When I questioned him he got angry and stormed off. I have never had any cavities and have healthy teeth. I can't believe a dentist can be this unprofessional. This man is a scam artist and crook. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
About Front Desk: I feel bad for the rest of the staff that has to deal with that crazy scam artist.

About Hygienist: Since Dr. Zerafat insisted I couldn't have a regular cleaning if I wasn't paying for the deep cleaning (scaling and root planning) I received no cleaning even though I asked for one. Funny, I thought dentists were supposed to care about patients.

Dr.Zerafat did two dental implants for me in 2009 and i can chew fine with them. it feels like a new tooth. i'm ver happy with the price i paid. i got few consults and at the end of all D. Zerafat trned to be the most reasonable dental implants. Thanks to him for the great service...

i have been going to Dr.ZERAFAT for the past three years and he has been taking care of my teeth. in 2007 he placec two dental implants that are still functioning fine...also, i got two front teeth veneer by DR.ZERAFAT and they look so natural that no one can tell the difference...Last wek i went in to get a root canal since my gum was infected. he did my root canal painlessly. his staff are ver kind and freindly. i hardly ever wait in waiting room before i get to see him. i think he deserves a good credit for what he does. i highly recommend him to my co-worker.
About Hygienist: She is very informative and caring..she takes her time to clean my teeth evry time i go there.thanks to Pahoa too.

what a Dentist!!!!!!!. I should say he is an artist. I have recieved my veneers and implant with Dr. Zerafat and I can't say enough about his manner and kind approach. I was always afraid of Dentist, but Dr.Zerafat made my so fearless now. I would highly recommend Dr. Zerafat as an excellent Dental practitioner. He seems updated with high end technology. you must see his office. His staff are very kind. I still remember his front desk (Maggie's smile),and the great assistance Trenice. God bless them. I owe them my beautiful smile.

Dr Zerafat found as much as several thousand dollars worth of painful, expensive procedures, evidently without doing the proper examinations that would be required for some of these procedures. I refused the work and went to another doctor who only found standard, low-cost work to do that was mostly, if not entirely, covered by my insurance.
I had gone to Dr. Zerafat for a checkup and cleaning and to have a cap fixed that had fallen off. Dr Zerafat said that I needed a new cap and that I may need a root canal on that tooth because there was decay under the old cap. He also found 3 other cavities and said that I needed a painful and expensive deep cleaning on all four quadrants of my mouth. He found $2300 worth of work ($1700 to me not covered by my insurance) and possibly a couple thousand dollars more if I needed the root canal. I didn't feel good about the exam. So, I went to another doctor.
The other doctor just glued the old cap back in place in about 10 minutes and gave me a standard cleaning. He didn't find the cavities that Dr Zerafat claimed were there. They measued the depth of my gums and said that I did not need a deep cleaning. This second doctor seem much more professional than Dr. Zerafat.
