Had a filling repaired. Dr. Levine was preoccupied. Numbed the wrong area of my mouth. Had to get a second shot - ouch! Dr. was very clumsy and rough. Dental assistant was in training it seems. Assistant did not know one instrument from the next. Sprayed my face three times with the water gun. Jammed the suction down my throat - I think he got one of my tonsils :) I left the office feeling like I had left a night at "Fight Club". Never going back. Front office staff is very courteous ind helpful.
About Hygienist: Absolutely fabulous! Thorough, gentle, knowledgeable, courteous and quick. Good recommendations for OTC oral hygine products. Loved her!

I will not return to Dr. Levine's office. During an emergency root canal, he performed 3/4 of the root canal, and then *left* to attend to other patients, leaving me with instructions to keep my mouth open, which I then did for the next thirty minutes! He did not explain or apologize for this absurd lack of concern. I will go somewhere else to get my crown repaired.

Although his facilities are top of the line, and most of his staff is excellent, Dr. Levine is more of a businessman than a dentist.
He has tried to sell me everything under the moon. Even laser treatment for my fever blisters. When his staff recommended that I wait to have these treated, due to the fact that they were already in their healing stages and the laser would not be as effective, he reacted sharply to his staff member, as if he was upset that a sale was not completed.
I have also had a crown installed (twice on the same tooth due to errors) by Dr. Levine. The actual crown installation was done by a staff member in his office (not sure what his actual role was, maybe he was another dentist, but I dont think so...). Dr. Levine seemed too busy with other patients to do the install himself, although he did run in to see me a few times. Both times the crown installation had caused me sever pain for many days to follow.
I feel like these errors could have been avoided if Dr. Levine had taken his role as a dentist, treating patients, more seriously.

Excellent experience. Top notch facilities and technology. Very polite and professional staff. Competent and professional presentation of insurance and financials after the appt. Dr. Levine was very professional, and managed to make my root canal survivable!

I have had many cavities filled by his office and they always do a great job. The office looks like a hole-in-the-wall and is not very attractive from the front (in back of a gas station), but it is clean and the hygenists are excellent. They don't make you wait, and they will bill your insurance for you.

My experience with Dr. Levine was pleasant. While he will make recommendations to construct your smile to how you want it, he does not advise procedures that are not required. His staff is also nice and you won't spend lots of time in the waiting room.

Overall, I think that this is a good practice. There were some minor issues that prevented this from becoming a great visit.
The dental assistant was not experienced. She repeatedly hit my teeth with the instruments. Several times the doctor commented for her to be careful. Also, the dentist kept on asking for a composite material to be available and prepared. Again the dental assistant seemed to have trouble figuring out what he wanted. I had a hard time relaxing with such an inexperienced person working on me.
Also, the office was a bit unorganized. The dentist and dental assistance were 40 minutes late to my appointment. I was the first patient there and they did not arrive until 8:40 am (my appointment was at 8am).
The dentist did not realize that I had double booked a deep teeth cleaning & an appointment with him for cavity fillings. My cleaning was lightening quick - done in 30 minutes. I then moved to the dentist's office. I sat there for a long time - say 40 ish minutes waiting while he made my night guard. I asked the dentist if he was going to work on my teeth while the novacane was working. To make a long story short, he apologized for not realizing I had other work. I had to have another shot :-(

Dr. Levine is great with kids - he created a character named "Flossman" to encourage flossing as a daily habit - and the rest of the office maintains the fun atmosphere - great dentistry

I went to Dr. Levine for a normal checkup and he said I needed to redo my fillings because they are "cracked'. He wanted to charge me 2000$ out of pocket after insurance took care of the rest. I went to another dentist and the other guy told me that metal fillings usually last for a good amount of years and that it is unnecessary to redo them and that my teeth are fine. Dr. Levine was just trying to make money. However, to be fair, it is nice inside the office though and if you are just getting a cleaning, he is gentle and you don't feel anything. You should just get a second opinion before doing an expensive treatment.
