Absolute best when it comes to skill ,care and compassion.I had two other experiences with other periodontists but I find Dr Askari to be very good in what he does and when it comes to any out of pocket expense the office is very helpfull

I have been seeing Dr. Askari since before he opened his private practice in Brooklyn Heights. BEST in his field!!! HE SAVED MY SMILE!!!! =)

I visited Dr. Askari for consultation for bone loss issue and was disappointed. He did the check briefly, in a very relaxing style (unprofessional in my point of view), and decided the treatment plan, doesn't bother to explain anything to me although I keep answering. It's hard for me to trust him to do surgery for me. Also the office (Manhattan one) is very noisy and they don't even have computer system wired up there. They ask me to do deep clean in one visit, and told me it will only take around 30 mins for whole month cleaning, which I feel hard to believe if the clean is thourough.

Great doctor, extremely professional and knowledgeable. I had bone implant and soft tissue graft done and totally satisfied with the results.

Dr. Askari explained the procedure prior to scheduling an appointment. Dr, Askari worked silently during the surgurical procedure. Printed as well as verbal instructions were given on follow up care. His hygienist repeated the follow up care and made sure I understood the doctor's instructions. . I personally like to hear what is being done as doctors examine or perform procedures. I informed him of this preference following the procedure and was assured that the next time he would do so. I forget the name of the procedure but essentially food was removed from under the gum line. Dr. Askari made sure the anesthesia had enough time to work before beginning the surgery. Prescriptions for pain and an antibiotic were given following the procedure.

When I opened the door to the office, I was greeted with plesant music, beautiful surroundings and the smiling face of office personnel, Melissa. I had come for a consultation on crown lengthening and the price was quite reasonable. Dr. Askari wanted to do a full-mouth (panormaic x-ray) and Melissa negotiated a reasonable price on that as well as I was not eligible under insurance. She also made me two additional copies of these x-rays that I could keep. There was another kind woman there who took my x-rays. She was great, too. When Dr. Askari stepped in, he was knowledgable and patient. He answered all of my questions about crown lengthening and put me at ease regarding the procedure. He helped me to further understand an additional problem I was having with a tooth that had had two root canals. I go back for my appointment later this week, but was so happy to find Dr. Askari and Melissa.

I went to Dr. Askari when he was at Dentistry at the Heights in Brooklyn Heights. I had gum disease and needed oral surgery to open my gums and clean at the bone, as well as a bit of bone grafting. In total there were three or four visits, since the work had to be done in quadrants. In all of these visits, Dr. Askari was very professional, calm and friendly. He made me feel at ease at all times. With regards to his execution, the pain was surprisingly minimal and much lower than the previous dentist I had (partially due to effective anesthetics, I'm sure). It has been about two years and the treatment has been pretty successful. If there is relapse, I can only blame myself for not returning for the monthly check-ups as told. If I were still in NYC, I would certainly continue going to Dr. Askari.
However, I would say that the staff at Dentistry at the Heights was wanting. As a regular matter, they were usually curt on the phone and aloof in person. Furthermore, I had insurance complications regarding a COBRA account which went back and forth, with Heights staff unhelpful, unwilling to communicate with the insurer directly, and unable to explain things in an understandable way rather than taking a hostile tone.
