Dr. Yamate does her own cleanings, as this is part of the philosophy of her practice. I feel that she is a friend and that I am an important part of the decision-making process. Dr. Yamate has a wonderful combination of personal warmth and professional excellence.

Have had crowns, fillings, and teeth cleaning;
If you have a small mouth like I do, it is pleasant to have strong, and steady but petitte hands do dental work. My mouth does not have to be wide open for her to do the work.
I found myself having fallen asleep one time while Dr. Yamate was working on a filling. She still accomplished the task!
She also personally does the teeth cleaning.
Only drawback is that she is so busy that normal appointments have to be made month or more in advance.

Dr. Yamate is very competent, easy going, great chair-side manners. She is so good that I actually fell asleep on her several times while she worked on my filling. Been a patient for over 15 years. Her hands are small which is good for my small mouth that other dentists in the past caused my mouth to ache from their big hands. Rarely do I ever have to wait after arriving for my scheduled appointment.
front desk personnel are very courteous and friendly.
Definitely would recommend her but be prepared. Appointments are booked way in advance.
