Mission Valley Dental Groups has been sold to Dr. Joseph Wisnieski DDS and is now Smile San Diego. It appears that the Dr. has kept the front and back staff and has really turned this office into a patient comes first dental office. Cindy, which has been there for years and has always made sure that I was treated fairly in the past is now doing the financial planning and was very accommodating to my financial needs. I am very impressed with this turn around and would recommend it to everyone I know.

The office staff in Dr Kassner's Chula Vista has displayed an increasing indifference to patient service and billing processes. There is a clear disconnect between what the patient dicusses with the examining dentist, the financial assistant, and the attending dentist. To make matters worse, the billing department changes the bill after you've paid and left the office, invoicing you for mystic charges, after the fact. The Chula Vista office manager is aloof and will not even return phone calls, let alone rescind unwarranted billing (errors on their end). Dr. Kassner is a great gentleman and his daughter, Killeen, is amazingly attentive with all financial matters. Unfortunately, they're neither one in the daily picture, now, and the Chula Vista office staff has gone down the drain. Sad. Very sad.

Office staff was friendly and helpful. The office is clean and organized. The office hours could use some improvement. I was slightly shocked by the prices, but overall i am happy with my dental work.

This Dr.'s office is now in Eastlake/Chula Vista. The patients are pretty much herded around like cattle. The first Dr. who looked at my xrays and did the initial exam did not introduce himself and was cold, actually no one introduced themselves. The pricing meeting felt like I was at a car dealership and the price was shocking even with insurance coverage.

The office and office staff are great. Unfortunately, once you are called back you begin to feel like a herd of cattle moving from one dentist to another. It seemed we were getting different opinions from different people and we never seen the same person...just moved around a lot. THEN, the prices were outrageous and did not match insurance pricing at all. Will not return

Dr. Kassner doesn't actually do any of the dental work. He reviews the x-rays and recommends treatment. Other dentists do the work. The cost seems very high to me $$$$. No evening or Saturday appointments. That's a problem if you have kids. Plan on spending 4 hours there for a cleaning. Always crowded waiting room. They seem to always push for more treatment than neccesary.

I have been with this office for about 5 years now, and I have watched as the office went from very a very high output, efficient dental office to a cattle mill. My last 2 visits I waited 45 min to an hour to "get in" then you move from x-ray to screening to a bench to a financial woman, to a cleaning room, meanwhile you have now seen 4 different people, and there is not a lot of understandable english going on. The people that work there seem to be very nice, but due to the nature of the high throughput of the office much gets overlooked. I actullay was told I was done prior to my cleaning! This also happened to my child, so there are definate problems with this office at this point. I tried to talk about my concerns to the manager, but she didn't have much time to talk (no suprise there).

I didnt even see this dentist but mission valley dental group is horrible. Told me I had 8 massive cavities, but I see a dentist every 6mo. and have never had a cavity my whole life. Told me I needed sealants, but I got them 6 mo. ago. All I wanted was a cleaning, and they took 10 minutes to complete it. They didnt even clean between my teeth. Total fraud, I would never see them again. DONT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY. They try to convince you that you need proceedures that you dont need. If you see them make sure you get a second opinion... Too bad I just moved to San Diego, if not, I could see my regular dentist.

His office does not give the patient an option to see which is more affordable. They will tell you how much you will pay, to make more money out of you. I have a son who has a perfert teeth and during his scheduled regular check up, and then asked him to have a deep cleaning procedure that cost him over $200. Also after the visit and paid all the transactions, they still send bills to say that they forgot to charge the initial fee, even it is a regular 6 months checkup. I do not recommend his office especially the Chula Vista office. I feel like in the production line.
