Dr. Hoffman was lackadaisical in following through with obtaining old dental records (despite telling me they would be helpful for my exam and could spare me unnecessary fillings), cooperating with my periodontist, managing records (my x-rays had someone else's name written on them), billing (sent me a personal note saying I over-payed, then later threatened to involve a collection agency for the same payment), office did not follow through with my first request to have a copy of my records, office failed to cancel a future appointment. Upon seeing another dentist, I was told that the $$ and painful gum surgery that he recommended (and offered to provide) was unnecessary, as well as the two crowns that he insisted were urgently needed. I canceled an appointment 48 hours in advance and Dr. Hoffman called my house 7 times leaving messages saying how urgent my appointment was. While in fact this appointment may have been urgent I felt 7 times was extremely unnecessary. Overall, Dr. Hoffman seems nice, however he seemed nosy and even judgmental about my personal life. He explains procedures very well and I felt that he did a good job with some difficult cavities.
