Dr. Collado has been my dentist for about 6 years (my wife's also) and we both recommend him. He has replaced 2 of my fillings and has done periodontal work on my wife with great results the first time. He loves technology and you'll notice that everything in his office is newest gadget to make your visit pleasant. i.e. Dental x-rays are all digital and those don't use those sharp-edged cardboard films that hurt your gums when you bite down on them. My wife's friend recommended him and we switched to Dr. Collado after us having to constantly pay huge deductibles at my former dentist in Del Mar (where the offfice was glittzy and the dental hygenists looked like super-models but were not very good i.e. poor cleaning and polished each tooth for all of 0.2 seconds.)
With our current insurance, our deductibles are reasonable and I would say quite fair given his very professional service.
And by the way, his staff of dental hygentists is great and they ask exactly how aggresive or gentle you want your cleanings to be.
