I was assigned to this dental office by my insurance. It was close by so I made went to their web sight and attempted to make and appointment on line. I was anxious to get a consultation and immediately got on their web site and attempted to make an appointment. I did not hear back after a few days and tried again. Once again I did not receive a response. I then called and got their voicemail. I left a message and once again no response. I called and left a second message that was not returned. I waited a few days and called again. This time I was lucky and someone answered. I made an appointment and had a good experience with the hygienist and with my time with the dentist. The dentist explained all the work I needed and I would receive a plan from his staff and we could start treatment. After two weeks, I never got any communication from the staff. I called and was told that it was emailed to me. I explained that I never received it and she asked me for my email address. I gave it to her and she explained that it was sent to the wrong address. My first thought was that a follow up phone call was probably in order when there was no response after the first email.

About Front Desk: Rude, does not return emails, phone calls, or messages left in person.

Front desk:

Hygiene rating:

About Hygienist: Only good part of this practice.

Dr. Haldy is a great dentist. Im a school teacher and I broke my venere. He took me in 15 minutes and didn't charge a penny. He is a personable guy and his staff is great. I love this find- The best ever.

Each time I went here they tried to get me to do a deep cleaning that cost $800 when I have always gone to the dentist my whole life every 6 months. Also, i had a chipped tooth, they put bonding on it and it came off a week later, so they recommended a veneer. I got the veneer and it came off twice within a period of 6 months!!! Those are supposed to last at least 10 years! They tried to blame it on me and didn't want to take fault for their crappy job. I filed a grievance and my insurance said they overcharged me for my veneer so they would reimburse me $300. (they charged $1000 for one of my bottom front teeth!). The last time it fell off they told me they couldn't see me that day and to go to the store and buy some glue and stick it on myself temporarily! I ended up having to do an emergency visit at another dentist and they put my veneer back on and it's been on ever since! They were horrible and I do NOT recommend Dr. Haldy or his front office staff (who was rude each time I came in!) Stay away!!

For years I have been afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Haldy and his staff made me feel so comfortable, they were caring and gentle. The office has great affordable payment plans.

I have been to this dentist several times in the last couple years. He has done some fillings and repaired a couple teeth. Sadly I have had to go back each time work was done to have it modified because of pain or the filling coming out completely. The office seems to run off of the mentality of 'Get them in and get them out' I didnt feel like the dentist wanted to do anything other than roll up, poke around, talk to the assistant and then roll on to the next paying customer. They seem to like to try to add on extras whenever possible as well.

My family has been going to Dr. Haldy for the past 4 years. He was the Doctor our insurance assigned to us when we came to San Diego. On many accounts Dr. Haldy seemed very impersonal as well as the office staff but then we only saw them twice a year. On two different visits we were over charged for procedures done. A careless mistake of the office staff. On our last visit for my son, who was to have two cavities filled, the office manager informed me of the cost for the two cavities with porcelain fillings would be $180 with our insurance. I opted for the silver fillings since they were in baby teeth for $40. My son was then brought back into the waiting area were the office manager proceeded to tell me in a very unprofessional and rude manner that Dr. Haldy was too busy to see us. When asked why all of a sudden he was too busy she suggested that we look for a new office. Very unprofessional office staff and uncaring Doctor. I would highly recommend not going to Dr. Haldy. I don't know why we waited so long to select a different Doctor.

I will not be going to Dr Haldy any longer. My family and I have been patients there on and off for years. I have been greatly dissappointed by their customer service and lack of dedication. Numerous times my appointments were changed at the last minute, after being scheduled months in advance. I found out numerous times the Dr. cleared his day at the last minute to go out of town. The hygenist was rude and rushed through the cleaning. Dr Haldy should focus on his patients instead of his vacations!

I had a root canal/pulpectomy performed recently, and was somewhat dismayed to be one in 400 people to have a '4th canal' which upped the cost of the surgery by about $400... since I am not a dental professional, and the woman who spoke with me concerning the costs was a bit pushy, I felt that I was being taken advantage of in a business setting rather than being offered the dental help and alternate options I needed. Plus the fact that they performed the procedure before even discussing payment options, so I was obligated to pay for it anyway... this left me with an unsavory feeling upon leaving the office. Since requiring a root canal means I was in pain, I felt that I was helpless to disagree with the condition of a 4th canal, since I needed the operation rather desperately. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the dentist himself, the staff behind the front desk as well as the very sweet dental assistants. My main problem was being pressured and practically bullied into paying for a 4th canal by the financial advisor. I never knew I had a 4th canal and thought that I would have known since I had braces as a kid and my orthodontist would have mentioned it.

Dr. Haldy is a great dentist. I have always been completely satisfied with his work which is always done relatively painlessly. The front desk is friendly and courteous and provides an accurate estimate of the cost for the work that needs to be done. I recently switched dental insurance plans and was relieved to find that Dr. Haldy also accepted my new plan/provider. I highly recommend him any time the subject of denstists comes up!
