I had an initial consultation and then had a tooth pulled. The tooth was split and there was infection. My gums were swollen. Dr. McNair extracted the tooth. It was the best extraction I have ever had -- no pain at all. HOWEVER, beware of the office manager. She quoted me a price that was one third of the price I got charged. I am not going to argue about it, because I do not want to go back there again, ever. I am just glad my infected tooth got taken care of, and there were no complications after the extraction. I would recommend the dentist but not his office.

About Front Desk: The front office is OK. The business office is terrible.

Root canal - didn't complete. He didn't keep the appointment, closed the office after confirming via SMS. Office visit takes 3-5 hours. 3 hours to decide a root canal was needed, then a 5 hour visit to do just the first part (of three...) then missed the appointment himself without notification. Nice man, decent dentist, poor businessman.

About Front Desk: The staff are friendly but with 3+ hours in the office something is very wrong there. Also not keeping appointments is the pinnacle of unprofessional behavior.

Front desk:

About Hygienist: Never had a cleaning or visit with a hygeinist. It was neither offered nor suggested.

I'm sure Dr. McNair is a competent dentist, but the people he has working for him are awful. I was told my insurance would cover my services and was then charged not only for what I had done, but also for a future appointment because I only had a PPO, which was not further explained.

About Front Desk: Disorganized, unfriendly, unknowledgeable

Hygiene rating:

About Hygienist: Rough handed and do not explain what they are doing when they do it.

Hygiene time: 300

I was referred to Dr. McNair 12 years ago when I had periodontal disease and my son who was 11 had cavities. I hadn't been to a dentist for years because I had a bad experience getting a wisdom tooth removed. Dr. McNair was amazing. His office was very cozy and his nurturing attitude put and kept me at ease.He makes every patient feel like part of his family and remembers you as a person. He did a great job treating me and I have been going back every 6 months ever since - this is due to entirely to the way he and his staff treated me and my son. He is a great dentist. Most medical/dental professionals know their profession but few know how to treat people - Dr. McNair knows and he makes sure his staff does too. I have seen that no matter what he encounters in the patient's mouth, he will give each and every patient the care they need at the time. Sometimes it can impact the schedule, but he and the staff keep you informed and do their best to get you in and out in a reasonable time. I highly recommend him and my son who lives out of town now, comes back to Dr. McNair when he needs dental care.

My treatment at Dr. McNair's office was the worst I have ever experience with a Dentist. I have always been afraid of dentist and he certainly proved, why I should be afraid. I hated that you have to wait sooo long. Extreme pains when pulling my tooth. I suffered greatly. The male assistant was very impersonal...approach you with no acknowledgement of moving you or touching you. Not very courteous. I hope I never have to experience that kind of pain again.

Cleaning and periodental treatment. In-chair shoulder and head massages. Relaxing jazz music playing. Pain free, gentle and soothing. I love Dr. McNair and would highly recommend him if you are a nervous patient like me.

Amazing environment and patient care. You enter with the sound of jazz playing and check in the with the receptionist. When you are called for your treatment, you are given a shoulder and neck massage while waiting for the Dr. McNair. He has the latest equipment and gives you tons of information. He reeks of competence.
