My implants were removed almost almost immediately after being placed in my mouth when we had a disagreement about cost. (Tarnow himself raised the price for the entire job after the work had been completed.) I was at that time suddenly told the implants had not worked and they were removed from my mouth one by one. To add insult to tremendous injury, neither Dennis Tarnow nor his associate Jon Zamzok removed the bridge they had made to fit over the (now removed) implants so it could be remade to fit (sans the implants) and all my teeth rotted under that ill-fitting bridge. Of course, I did not learn this until years later and it was much too late to sue. The surgeon who removed the bridge years later was horrified. I did not tell him who had done the work right away since I knew that they were associates. (Tarnow's patients were referred to this surgeon for surgical consults.) I try to behave humanely in the world; Tarnow's group is an example for me of the importance of not letting ego and greed rule your life. "Physicians" should do no harm.

Board certified periodontist and a prosthodontist. Considered the best dentist in the world- and I agree. Wonderful office- with all specialists. I've had perio, ortho, esthestic work, implants, fillings, cleanings- all done here by top professionals. Dr Tarnow and his team all teach at major universities and do the research that leads the way in the dental world. Other NY dentists send their wives and mothers here for care- that says it all.

Have had 27 years of excellent care. Two implants- painless, easy, successful; 6 veneers by a prosthodontic partner in the office- gorgeous. This practice has their own lab on site and so the veneers can be done in the same day- teeth prepped, lab tech makes the laminates, then you return and have the procedure finished. Fabulous. This practice is all specialists, highly qualified, top professionals who teach in university dental schools. Tarnow is a gem- warm, caring and probably the most skilled dentist in the world. Thus the many patients who seem to "fly in" from somewhere else to be treated by him.

About Hygienist: The office has several hygienists- all excellent.

Dr. Tarnow is simply the best dentist I've come across! He is remarkably knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and does excellent work. Other periodontists and prosthodontists consider him to be the world leader in his fields. Furthermore, Dr. Tarnow's office is likely the nicest in Manhattan. The staff members are helpful, efficient, and very competent. This is a true one-of-a-kind dentist with an office to match!

I was in an accident and lost my front tooth. I received a bad implant from another doctor that had to be removed. I had lost a tremendous amount of gum tissue and bone. I was told by 3 periodontist that the only doctor that MIGHT be able to help was Dr. Tarnow in NYC. I traveled a long way to NYC and Dr. Tarnow stated he could help. Needless to say, I was somewhat afraid of dentists, but with Tarnow and his staff, I was always completely comfortable. He removed the old implant, built up my bone, did skin grafts to repair the gum line and gave me a new implant. His associate Dr. Brown is now making my crown and they work wtih a technition in their well appointed office to get a perfect match-- no sending out work and getting a generic tooth back. He helped me smile again. He is expensive but well worth it. I wish I had gone to him first. If he can't help you, no one can. Ask you own dentist... I have not met a single dentist that did not know of him. His stellar reputation is well deserved.
