My 6.5 year-old daughter is prone to cavities and we visit here often. Dr. Jackson and her staff are FABULOUS and my daughter looks forward to her visits. Really. No fear, no tears, no anxiety. We were referred to an oral surgeon for an extraction, and it was also a piece of cake because the visits to Dr. Jackson are so calm and fun she was not apprehensive. The waiting area is a bit cramped...but it is full of love. And Dr. Jackson lets her "assist" occasionally. It has been a particularly positive experience. Oh, and did I mentione there are toys everywhere....including the ceiling.

Dr. Jackson was recommended to me when my then 2 year old son hit his tooth. The tooth chipped and turned grey. He was a very anxious 2 year old, and we were nervous about his first dentist visit. She was so great. Both my sons are always excited to go to the dentist, never scared. Her office is clean and cheerful and her staff is very nice. Also despite a busy practice we never have to wait very long. One issue is that routine appointments need to scheduled about 6 weeks in advance.

Dr. J is the best! She is extremely patient and puts kids at ease. She really is top notch.

Dr. Jackson is the best when it comes to kids. She is excellent at making them feel comfortable and not stressing them out when it comes to dental procedures. She is an excellent dentist.

Excellent dentist. Skillful, warm, caring, funny, intelligent, and patient. Wonderful with children and parents. We never feel rushed or pressured no matter how busy Dr. Jackson is. Dr. Jackson focuses on each patient and remembers them all. Keeps track of potential problem areas. Superior skills. No unnecessary x-rays or procedures. Minimum pain. Instructs patients on how to keep teeth healthy and alternatives to sugared sweets. Dental hygienist, Irina, also a pleasure. She is skillful and great with children. Front desk is fine and provides insurance forms without a problem. Appointments made easily and Dr. Jackson will fit in an emergency promptly. Child-friendly environment. Worth the cost, which is not outlandish for Manhattan. You can't go wrong here.

My daughter was originally referred to dr. Jackson when she has been in an accident. As a result of the accident she had two teeth that were smashed into her gum, and had within the hour had 17 stitches in her mouth. She was 4 years old, this was her first visit to a dentist and she was scared to death.
Even in these circumstances, Dr. Jackson managed to calm her down and do what had to be done, with minimal pain and no stress. We have been seeing her ever since.
My daughter does not view seeing the dentist as in any way an unpleasant experience! Dr. Jackson speaks to her with respect and understanding, and makes certain that she understands what will be done that day. She works quickly and carefully and pays attention to all aspects of the child's needs while in the dentist chair. I can not imagine a more wonderful dentist or healthcare provider.

Dr. Jackson is fantastic and funny and knows how to talk to kids to put them at ease.The staff is lovely and the treatment top notch. BUT, we wait a long time in an overcrowded, cramped area with only a few pre-school books. Bring activities!

Dr Jackson is such a great find. Downtown parents do not have a lot of choices in pediatric dentists and we are thrilled with the service. Dr Jackson is great with the kids, knows her stuff and has very accomodating office hours. Friends who I have recommended to her thank me.

Everybody recommends her, but we had a terrible experience. Granted most of it was due my son's behaviour. my son is very difficult when it comes to dr's visits but this was by far the worst exp we have ever had. He wouldn't let the hygenist clean his teeth and when Dr jackson came in he wouldn't open his mouth. (Dr's usually manage to get him to coorporate in some form.) Dr jackson pinned him down (with my help) and forced open his mouth. At this point my son kicked her in the shin and she shouted at him from about 6"s from his face. OK, so clearly he is at fault for this episode, but it was very traumatizing, he was totally freaked out, and we are not going back to her...in fact i'll be lucky if i get him back to a dentists office at all after this.
