Worst experience. Went to this dentist bc it was covered by my insurance. The office is a glorified closet. Finding the location at all was a miracle bc the receptionist couldn't give me landmarks or actual assistance. Once there, I waited 30 minutes, without an apology for the wait. Once in the chair I was repeatedly poked, prodded, and nipped. The assistant was a nice, but kept commenting on how she had never seen anyone bleed like me before. I had never hurt so much before. This was just a cleaning. I explained to the assistant and to Dr. Tse that I was HIV+, but had been "undetectable" for several years and as long as they used universal precautions it would be fine. (I had medical documentation with me to prove I was undetectable.) Upon hearing this Dr. Tse commented, "Oh...so you don't have it anymore."...when I explained that was not the case she laughed and continued on with her ignorant joke furthering my opinion that this office was entirely incapable. Any person with the title "Doctor", whom works with patients who bleed, should be at least lightly versed in infectious diseases. I strongly suggest anyone who might need to go under anesthesia run, you might never wake up!! They don't know what they're doing!

I have been going to Dr. Tse since I was a child. You would think she would be nice to me....She once asked me "why are your teeth so yellow?" Seriously? You are the dentist, why don't you recommend something. Now that I am no longer under my parent's insurance, I no longer go to Dr. Tse nor do I recommend her.

I know this doctor: 10 years

(I am an adult) Meticulous work. My procedures mostly cleaning, preventive maintenance, filling replacement, cavity filling. No pain when drilling. Minor pain when probing for gum disease. Dentists friendly and professional chair-side. Hygienists friendly and professional. Front desk friendly and professional - always calls w/ appmt reminders). Dentist excellent at dealing w/ my insurance.

I went to Dr. Tse for a routine cleaning/checkup. The quality of the cleaning was fine; the cost was low; there was no wait; there was no pain; my insurance was handled apropriately; and the location is convenient if you're downtown. However, it wasn't until after my teeth had been cleaned and the doctor had checked my teeth, that the receptionist vaguely said "you have three cavities, you have to come back." I had never had a cavity before in my life, and it was an enormous, unpleasant shock to hear that I had three... and not even to hear it from someone who had seen the inside of my mouth. There was no explanation as to what I might have done to suddenly cause multiple cavities after twenty-odd years. No one even told me which teeth were the problems. I was just asked when I wanted to come back. Even though I had no problem with the quality of the cleaning or the chair-side-manner in general, I went hunting for a new dentist right away. I was very uncomfortable with the idea of letting someone drill my previously-perfect teeth when that someone had volunteered absolutly no information as to what was going on.
