I'm in my 60's. Told Dr Tidwell that I had a low pain threshold. He went to door and asked the 3 female empoyees at the desk to come into the room. He said, "This lady says she has a low pain threshold. What do we think of that?" The 3 clerks and the assistant and Dr Tidwell all started laughing at me. Then they went back to their posts. Dr Tidwell said that if I wanted gas it would cost me $75 in cash only. I paid the $75. I'd never had gas before but felt nothing at all. (No buzz, nada.) He then injected me with a numbinb agent without numbing the area where he was inserting the needle. I was moaning and crying and he just laughed. He took great pleasure in my discomfort and I told my regular dentist(whom I've been seeing for over 40 years) that he should never refer female patients to this smarmy character.

I know this doctor: one visit for molar extraction. Refered by regular dentist.

I had an extraction. Bill was settled without incident. However, I never received a statement. Ten months later I requested a statement so I could submit the co-pay to my flex spending account administrator. When I looked over the statement I noticed that the amount charged was different from the amount paid. Dr. Tidwell had accepted more money in payment from my dental insurer and me than the amount of the charges. They kept the extra money and zeroed out the account by identifying the overpayment as a "pay reversal". A refund was never sent to me. I had to question the statement and request the refund. Shame on them.

I have had my tori removed just two and a half weeks ago. The entire procedure, from general anesthesia, to numbing, to removal of a relatively large tori on the roof of my mouth took around 1.5 hours. I didn't have much pain and I took two pain killers only on the first day and the second one wasn't even necessary but I took it anyway. I prepared one big pot of vegetable soup and one pot of porridge and thought that they would last for one week before I can take solid food. On the third day, I was able to eat solid food and my soup was just a side dish. The mouth shield he made was very effective and helped the healing process much faster besides protecting the wound. I am very pleased with Dr. Tidwell, he truly is a wonderful surgeon, very patient, caring and is absolutely a great oral surgeon without an attitude. The people in his office are also very pleasant and helpful. I always joke about that I can now take a bigger bite of food with my small mouth. Doctor Tidwell, thanks so much and you are the best. Connie

Dr. Tidwell removed my wisdom teeth on Friday and has been available and helpful as I've had some more than usual swelling. Even insisted I meet him in his office today (Sunday) to ensure there was nothing more serious going on. The staff there is incredible and should I have more wisdom teeth to be removed I'd go back to him in a heartbeat!

Dr. Tidwell extracted wisdom teeth from all three of my sons (at different times:). His staff is always professional and caring, appointments on time, post op review comprehensive and not one complaint from the kids about pain. I c all that sucessful. Cost was covered by insurance, but the price quoted did not seem out of the ordinary. Medical treatment is expensive and the dentist isn't any different. But that's another story.

Dr Tidwell's staff are amazing, they were all professional, friendly, competent and thorough. Dr. Tidwell's sincere bedside manner is of a rare quality. I was scared to have orthognathic surgery, but I'm glad I did it. I'm very happy with results and extremely pleased with the care I received

I have always been very impressed when going to Dr. Tidwell as he is a very competent and nice person. I have had to get baby teeth removed and implants put in, all with no stress and very calming and attentive dental staff. They also have updated their look with completely new renovations throughout the office. It's very nice!

I was referred to Dr. Tidwell by my dentist for a tooth extraction and implant. Staff was terrific, and Dr. Tidwell professional and thorough in his explanation of what to expect. Procedures were up to date, fast and amazingly painless. Cost was high, but they knew my insurance and how to space the three-phase procedure (extraction, implant, crown) for best health results and insurance coverage / cost to me. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for an unpleasant event (losing a tooth and having a pin drilled into my jaw). No pain, no infection, no gum issues, no discomfort or movement of the implant, and my dentist , Connie Manuel, had no problems installing the new crown on the implant post.

When my 9-year-old daughter and I had our consultation with Dr. Tidwell, he said that he would have to remove 3 teeth. After the operation we realized that 5 teeth were removed. When we called to ask about this discrepancy, we were told that we were mistaken. When my wife finally got to talk to Dr. Tidwell, he was very hostile and abusive. He told her that she was "lying" and "stirring up trouble". Finding it hard to believe that this was his answer to our questions, I took our daughter in for an exam. He continued to be abusive and aggressive with me in front of my 9 year old. Even when he looked in her mouth and realized that he had removed 5 teeth, he was still defensive and couldn't apologize or even understand why we were upset. I certainly hope no one else has to go through what we did. Needless to say, although his staff is very nice, I would not recomend Dr. Tidwell.
