My 22-year old daughter saw Dr. Schiff for problems with her jaw (TMJ?) He took X-Rays and gave her advise as to potential options. That was all fine. HOWEVER, Dr. Schiff's office then submitted the paperwork erroneously to my insurance company. Twice. The claim was denied and Dr. Schiff's office threatened legal action if we didn't pay the bill out of our pocket. Unfortunately, we've reached an era where insurance companies make it hard for medical providers to get paid and medical providers are quick to refer unpaid amounts to collection agencies (which is terribly damaging to credit.) I am not a huge fan of universal healthcare, but am starting to wonder...

I was referred to Dr. Schiff by a co-worker and I owe my co-worker forever. I had been to a dentist in Centreville, VA that is across the street from the Giant on Route 29 that should be closed down. They definitely can learn a lot from Dr. Schiff's office. Dr. Schiff's experience enables him to be very comforting, gentle, comical and very very very very very very very very very very very good at what he does. I would recommend GOD to him. Dr Schiff is THE BEST ORAL SURGEON IN VA. I am a manager that is big on presentation, good work ethic, and mastering your craft. Believe me Dr. Schiff has done this and more. Hats off to you Dr. Schiff. HAPPY HAPPY CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!!

Excellent service, very fast and very personable. For an extraction and xrays it generally takes under 20 minutes.

I think Dr. Schiff and his staff are delightful. I was very nervous and they helped sooth my nerves a great deal. Lyn, the dental hygeinist was born to do what she does. I just wish their front office staff was as amiable as their back office staff.

My husband had a tooth extracted by Dr. Schiff. He was nice enough, but the staff was horrible. We went back and forth with them for months trying to get the right information to our insurance company. We ended up paying cash which was unfair to us but at least ended the situation. The facilities are poor.

When my general DDS recommended that I get 2 implants I chose Dr. Schiff to be my oral surgeon. He is fantastic. The procedure was painless and the office staff very efficient. Each step of the process was explained to me and all of my questions were answered clearly and in terms that I could understand. Dr. Schiff called me the next day to be sure that I was OK and I told him that I had returned to work after the implants because I was not in any pain and not having any problems. I wish all professionals were as considerate and caring. His staff is most efficient and put me at ease during the initial procedure and the follow up appointments. I have recommended him to numerous friends and they all have been as pleased as I.

I had a fibroma on my lip that Dr. Schiff removed. He was very nice and gentle and I think he did a good job. He explained everything in detail. However, before I went into the office, I tried to find out whether or not my insurance would cover the service, but the office staff wouldn't help me out with the billing code, telling me that the Dr. had to see me first. After the Dr. checked my lip, I reminded them that I still needed to verify whether or not my insurance would cover it, and they told me that I should have checked that out before seeing the doctor. So they all walked out in a huff because " I " had delayed them. So frustrating. Par for the course these days. Nobody in "customer service" helps customers anymore. It's always a fight. Good doctor though. I'd go see him again. My insurance covered it, so I only had to pay my $10 copay.
