I was referred to Dr. Hoschander by my regular dentist, a very proficient and precise man. When it turned out I needed a complex dental implant, one that went beyond his comfort zone, my dentist said there is one person you need to see: Dr. Hoschander. I don't have many dental issues, the need for the implant was due to some poor dental care in the past, so the prospect of oral surgery was daunting and upsetting. But that feeling began to lift walking into Dr. Hoschander's well-run office. The receptionist and assistants were friendly, and when Dr. Hoschander arrived, what puts you most at ease is the clear sense that he cares. He may be the director of oral surgery at New York Downtown Hospital, his phone may be ringing off the hook before and after your appointment, but when he's engaged with your case, he's surprisingly human and looks for the human connection. He's also pioneered some microsurgery techniques that speed up the sometimes lengthy process of dental implantation, so despite the complexity of my case, I was able to have the extraction, bone graft, and implant all done at the same time. The subsequent months have been spent monitoring the progress, and the recovery has been steady and the results look good four month

The word for Dr. Hoschander in Yiddish is Mensch. I had a severely impacted wisdom tooth that other oral surgeons would not touch for fear of effecting the nerve in my lower jaw. Dr. Hoschander very calmly explained the procedure gave me a quick shot of novocaine/nitrous, and before I thought he had actually begun& I was done. GREAT DOCTOR!

Dr. Hoschander removed four of my wisdom teeths, including two horizontally impacted teeth. Would highly recommend Dr. Hoschander, I had minimal swelling and pain the next day.

I had a great experience with Dr. Hoschander and I would recommend him to anyone. He is very good at what he does and he is also very nice to his patients and makes you feel very relaxed and is very funny.
Even the worst and scariest procedure was "easy" with him...I think he is the best you can find!

Cost was high. Should have disclosed pre-procedure that my insurance was not taken. Chair side manner ok. Front desk polite and helpful.

I cannot thank Doctor Hoshcander enough. Unbelievable service, super friendly, and an excellent staff. I was assaulted a few years back and he was operating on me the next day. Excellent doctor. A+++

If you need dental implants, see this dentist. He did an amazing job, really put me at ease, always returned my calls if I have any questions or problems, and was accomodating when it came to bill payments. He doesn't accept the type if dental insurance I had, but I made the sacrifice to pay for all expenses. It was worth every penny.

I had 3 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Hoshandr. He was excellent with the anesthesia (painless) and the removal was swift. I felt relaxed and confident in his skills.
