I found Dr. Hyden by way of the Travis County Medical exchange in 1974. I was young, and had not had regular dental care during my teenage years. To be really truthful, I was scared to death of having even fillings done. He was a miracle worker and remained as my dentist until I moved away from Austin in 1991.
When I came back in 2005, one of the first and smartest things I did was re-establish my relationship with William Hyden.
There are just not enough words in my vocabulary to explain how great a dentist he's been over the many years that I've known him!

Dr. Hyden is the absolute best! For anyone who may have anxiety about dental procedures, he is the doctor for you. He and his staff are extremely friendly, customer service oriented, and they can get you in for an appointment fairly quickly. He has been my denist for the past 10+ years and all of my family goes to him, as well as several friends. He is my #1 recommendation for a dentist!
About Hygienist: I would highly suggest specifically asking for Bonnie.

I'd say he is a Crown King. Extremely gentle. Great communication about the procedure.
I drive to Austin from San Antonio for treatment.
About Hygienist: The Hygienists have always been extremely professional.

Very professional, concerned, and attentive. A man of few words, though, which is nice when you can't really carry on a conversation with your mouth filled with instruments.
About Hygienist: Both hygenists are great! I'm usually out of there in 1/2 an hour. I've seen both over the years and like them equally.

Dr Hyden is the most gentle dentist I have ever been treated by. I'm generally uneasy (actually, a bit paranoid) about dental treatment, but he is very good at walking me through procecdures and frequently checks with me to ask how I'm doing as we go along. Best of all, the anesthetic injections rarely hurt. He's good at giving them.
As for cost, his fees are "in line" and no more expensive than any other private practice dentist.
Dr Hyden has an upbeat personality and is a very pleasant individual.
Highly recommended!

Dr. Hyden is very gentle and explains the procedures very well. He is patient and take enough time to let you know what he plans to do and how he will do the job. I have had several crowns done and elsewhere. His is the Crown King. His office is professional and waits are minimal. I don't know if he takes new patients, cause he's been doing this a while.

I changed to this dentist as he was closer to my home at the recommendation of my husband. I initially went in for cleaning. The office staff and hygenist were very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Hyden seemed very nice, too. But when I called on a Tuesday when one of my crowns fell off they could not get me in until the next Monday!!! I have moved around a lot and had many dentists. This is the first one that hasn't gotten me in right away when a crown came off. This is the true test of customer service. I will not go back.

I have gone to Dr Hyden's office since I was a very small child. They are very friendly and helpful. I have not had any cavities. I tend to go in twice a year. They are very good at being on time. I rarely wait in the waiting room more than 2 minutes.

Dr. Hyden and his office staff are professional, courteous, ethical, and seem truly interested in the health of your teeth. Options are presented when discussing healthcare. The Oral Hygienists are the best; I have very sensitive teeth and I have used the same Oral Hygienist (Bonnie - yeah!) for over 10 years. I recommend this dentist very highly.

Very Good experience. Dr. Hyden is the best dentist I have been to since moving to Austin 9 years ago. His staff is the great. He was courteous and knowledgeable.
I would highly recommend. Front desk is polite and they make it a breeze to get an appointment.
