I've had a lot of dentistry, some of it excellent and most of it mediocre or inept which depended on the ability or standards of the dentist doing the work. About a third of it was unnecessary and not recommended as part of a treatment plan by the two most capable and ethical dentists who have treated me, one of whom is Dr. Jacobs. Unfortunately I was swayed by the glossy sales pitch and unequivocal advice of another dentist who badly did 6 no doubt about it unnecessary crowns that have thrown off my bite. I learned a hard lesson and circled back to Dr. Jacobs for truly expert, caring, ethical and even friendly dentistry. No matter how extensive your dental needs, this complete professional can do it beautifully and for the duration.

I highly recommend this dentist to anyone who may have any dental needs. He is my dentist for about 30 years. I never have any issue with his professionalism, service and quality. He is simply the BEST dentist in town!

Great dentist, with a keen interest in teeth. The only downside is that he's an out of network dentist for most insurance plans.

Dr. Thomas A. Jacobs is the best, and, awesome! When he and his dental hygenist found a huge cavity under one of my crowns, he was able to drill down, save the tooth, build it up, and replace the old gold crown with a porcelain crown. When I had to come back because two of my capped front teeth broke at the gum line, he explained five different options to fix my teeth. The person he has to make his bridges is the best bridgemaker! Dr. Jacobs said that my bridge is ten to fifteen years ahead of time. Talk about a conversion experience! I used to not floss my teeth regularly. But, ever since going to him, I've flossed regularly, daily! And it's so easy to floss my six-unit brige! Dr. Jacobs has excellent chair-side manners. And he phoned me at home three times to either check on the tooth that decayed, or, on the temporary bridge and permanent bridge. And he's gentle too. He never scolded me for breaking my crowns, or, for not coming earlier for a check-up. He was asked if he'd like to teach at the dental school right after he graduated from dentistry. I've recommended him to three people because his work is better than 97% of cosmetic dentists. He made some of his dental instruments. I only want him to be my dentist, forever!

Dr. Jacobs is a terrific dentist. I have been going to Dr. Jacobs for 20 years now and have had fantastic treatment and service. In the 20 years he has been my dentist, we have gone through fillings, chipped teeth, gum problems, several crowns, removing metal fillings and replacing with better material, and teeth whitening. In every instance, Dr. Jacobs has provided wonderful service. He is a perfectionist and has an extremely high level of skill in understanding how to work with teeth, both regarding teeth that have to be filled or fixed, and with the related cosmetic aspects of having good teeth. He is also kind and has a very gentle touch. Dr. Jacobs' office understands that dentistry can be expensive even with dental insurance and will explain how this works when there are questions. Regarding cosmetic treatment on my top front teeth, Dr. Jacobs suggested that I go through a teeth whitening process instead. I had this process done 10 years ago and continue to be satisfied with the result and appreciate his suggesting this treatment instead of something more expensive which wasn't necessary in my case. I recommend him without reservation.

I was raised in southern Oregon (non-fluoridated water) so lost my teeth in my early 20's. Have had several sets of dentures, but never have had any that have fit me as well as the ones Dr. Tom Jacobs made for me about 6 months ago. I didn't even have to go back for an adjustment! They also look better than any I've ever had. He had me bring in a childhood picture, and used it to make a much better looking set than I've ever had. I should also mention that Dr. Jacobs is extremely gentle. My son absolutely hated to go to dentists until I took him to Dr.Jacobs; now, no problem! 3rd & last: My husband takes a blood thinner that has caused him bleeding problems during other medical procedures, but Dr. Jacobs pulled my husband's wisdom teeth without causing abnormal bleeding. Dr. Jacobs always calls us on the evening of the day he's worked on our teeth, just to make sure we're okay. We feel very fortunate to have found someone who's both such a great dentist and a wonderful, interesting, and caring person. And his staff is always great, of course! (I heard about him from some former co-workers; the whole office was going to Dr. Jacobs!)

Dr Jacobs is a phenomenal dentist! His dedication to the art and science of dentistry shines through his work. His attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work leads to a perfect final product. His dentistry is beautiful! On top of all that he is the nicest man. He's easy to talk to and genuinely cares about his patients. The moment you walk into his office you feel at ease. He is very professional and educates you on all dental procedures. If it interests you he'll even take a picture to show you what's going on in your mouth. He will answer any and all questions. He is honest and ethical and would never recommend treatment that is not necessary. He spends quality time with you and makes going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. I have never had such a painless visit to the dentist. This is coming from someone who has a great fear of needles. I am very pleased with the work he did for me and have recommended him to all my close friends and loved ones.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jacobs for several years. Fortunately, I have only needed relatively minor procedures (cleanings and fillings). However, I can tell from my discussions with Dr. Jacobs that he is very state of the art, explains his recommendations thoroughly and is interested in doing what is in the long-term best interest of the patient.

I liked Dr. Jacobs as a person. I found his hygenist to be VERY rude, and the way she flossed my teeth gave me a horrendous head ache - and I take VERY good care of my teeth and floss every day. I was very unhappy with the hygenists. It is now 2 years later and I found out from my new dentist that the composite filling that Dr. Jacobs put in one of my teeth was too big for the tooth, and it has since cracked the tooth - and broke it in half. I now have to get a crown b/c of this oversight. I do know a lot of people that like him, though I have to say I've had better care.
