Dr. Khang is always very busy and does not spend adequate time with the patient. Also beware spurious charges of perio checks that may not be done. These will not be covered by insurance and are added to the bill without anything being done. Tthe desk staff is impatient and not helpful

I had dental implants with him and finished procedure few month ago. After implant, my life is totally different. I always think that I would have had those much earlier... I think he is one of best regarding in dental implant, and I heard he teach other dentists implant in school and seminars. It was good experience with him. Most part, he explained well and procedure was very smooth. I RECOMMEND STRONGLY.

He was very impatient and pushing things I did not need. I found him to be very unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend him to anyone!

About Front Desk: The front desk clerk cannot speak a lick of english. It was hard to understand what she was saying or asking. They were rude and unwilling to help. Not sure how they can keep an office going at the unprofessional rate. The worst staff ever!

I was referred to Dr. Khang for an implant. He was very professional . He took the time to explain to me the benefits of having an implant placed. His staff went over the treatment with me and explained what my portion would be so I would understand my insurance coverage. Dr. Khang and his staff were very accommodating and gentle during my procedure since I was a bit nervous. The back staff was very comforting during the surgery and she explained the instructions of after care with me so I left there in confidence in what to expect. After recovery went well. As my visits continued with Dr. Khang and staff they were always professional and friendly.

Dr. Khang is the best. Has done 2 implants for me ... one with a cadaver implant first to provide bone in the jaw to hold the implant. I like the staff very much too. I would highly recommend Dr. Khang.

About Front Desk: Great staff. They help with everything.

About Hygienist: The absolute best ever! Best cleanings I have ever had.

While the staff is patient and attentive, and Dr. Khang himself is obviously very knowledgeable, he's not good about communicating with his patients. I had two failed procedures, and both times, I really had no idea why. I tried asking questions, but the doc always answers with one foot literally out the door, giving one-word answers. Look, I have an MPH in public health, a bachelors in psych, and I'm working on my RN...if I can't understand what's going on, I can only imagine what it's like for patients without a healthcare background. I constantly felt brushed off, and I never could find the right moment to express my concerns due to the frenetic pace. After the second failed procedure, I decided to move elsewhere, at my own expense. Perhaps the failures were unavoidable and not the doc's fault. But I just don't know, due to the really poor patient education that goes on here.

About Hygienist: I loved my hygienist here! She would rub my shoulder and wrist whenever the doc administered a shot, and she did a lot to alleviate my anxiety. I did not like watching the doc snap orders at her, though. She was wonderful, and really took the time to talk to me and make me feel comfortable. I wish I had more time with her to ask questions.

I found Dr. Khang to be very cold and unfriendly. He hardly said anything to me, and when I tried to ask him a question, he cut me short! He gave me the most painful shots! When the dental hygenist put the numbing agent on my gum, he didn't wait but 3 seconds before he started to give me a series of shots in a very fast and rough manner! I since have switched doctor! His dental hygenist was very nice, though, so were the desk staff.

I've done my periodical maintenance and implant in Dr. Khang's office in Reston. He is patient and experienced. The staff in his office is friendly and provide the information that I need before the service. The procedure was very successful.

I've been living our of the country for a number years, only recently returning and so do not have any recent U.S. dental experience for comparison. That said, I was impressed by Dr Khang. He was friendly, informative, considerate, very aware of my comfort level while performing the procedure and his fees seemed to me reasonable. As for his overall rating, I think he's among the top dentists in the area.
