My oldest son had very extreme anxiety about going to the dentist, Dr. Souza and his staff were wonderful at calming him down and making it as pleasant of an experience as possible and seemed very understanding of his fears. My son no longer has anxiety about going to the dentist and he refuses to go to any other dentist. Wonderful, friendly staff, great environment good pricing. Highly recommend.

excellent doctor, the staff is helpful and was sure to inform me of all charges that would be covered by my insurance before work being done, my 12 year old, 10 year old and 2 year old love the staff.

We have gone to Dr. Souza for about 6 years. He seems to be a competent doctor but always seems to be pushing extra services such as sealants. Our biggest complaint is they are not flexible with their schedule. You can only schedule certain treatments at certain times of the day. I know their schedule is important but so is mine. My children miss school everytime we see him because they are so inflexible with their schedule. They are frequently difficult to reach by phone and you normally have to wait for them to call you back. We picked him as a dentist because he was one of the few pediatric dentist that allow you to be with your child during their treatments.

Love this dentist! He is our favorite. The office staff is fabulous! I wish he would see adults!

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Souza and the treatment my kids get. They went from being scared to go to the dentist to no longer crying and having fits prior to going. I love that we can go back with the kids to help with their anxiety and that he shows you everything that is going on! He and his staff are fabulous!!

I took my son several years ago to see Dr. Souza. Dr. Souza found a cavity and wanted to fill it. I expressed some hesitancy as my son has a LOT of anxiety about dentists. Dr. Souza stated he wanted to try the laughing gas first, I was still hesitant but agreed (I wanted my son to go under). Sure enough when we returned to do the procedure my son refused to wear the nose mask for the gas. He was frightened and upset. Dr. Souza asked me to leave the room. I agreed only because I thought my son might cooperate. He did not and Dr. Souza left the room angry and upset. He proceded to tell me that I needed to make my son behave, take him behind the woodshed or whatever (paraphrased, but he did say take him behind the woodshed). I was more than appalled, I was livid. I had tried to express my son's anxiety over this and now I was being told he was disobedient! It wasn't disobedience, it was fear, true fear. I had no idea what to say, I was soo angry. We eventually returned to have the procedure done after my son was put under but I never went back after that. A hellish experience for us both!! My son is still working back from that experience 4 yrs ago! BTW, my son was diagnosed w/sensory integration disorder that year.

My son and daughter (12 and 13) have both been to Dr. Souza for 6 years and have always had a positive experience with Dr. Souza and his staff. He explains all procedures to my children so that they know exactly what is going on while they are in his chair. There is no mystery, therefore no real fear of the unknown. His staff always greets us by name and make us feel at home when we walk through the door. They are very helpful with insurance and I have had no problems with getting my insurance to reimburse. Dr. Souza was not on our insurance "list". I was referred to him through a neighbor after I had a bad experience with a dentist on the "list". It is wonderful to have a dentist that works so well with children and his staff does a great job on the schedule. It is very rare to wait over 5 minutes before being called from the waiting room. He answers all of my questions and never seems rushed. I recommend him highly and have referred friends to him.
