It seems nice place at first but... you really must trust the negative reviews first because the nice once are usually written by the reviewed party itself! So... in one word I would describe Poiset's office as: moneysuckers! In few - they are greedy as hell and cold as Antarctic and they don't care about your child at all. All they see in your child is the source of easy money. All they want is to do as many procedures as possible billing you insane money for simple procedures! For God's sake do not go to this place, it sucks: you will wait for no reason and then you and your child will be lectured on how important it is to fix the temporal teeth rather than practice preventive measures.

About Front Desk: Weird, I felt fear in them.

Dr Poiset is a wonderful pediatric dentist who has taken great care of us from the time that my 11 year old was born. They just moved to a new facility right around the corner of Frost St. It's clean and designed in a whimsical beach theme with game stations in the waiting room. The orthodontist that shares the office is equally as wonderful.

he is sweeth and good with children. He calmed my toddlers nerves, and seemed to speak their langage, no adult words

By far the best dentist I've experienced in my life. My dad was a dentist, and Poiset is far better! GREAT with kids. Cannot recommend highly enough - my son LOVES coming to see him!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Poiset. We have taken our three children to him for many years. Perhaps most telling, our daughter needed a filling when she was about five. She is a high-strung and expressive child, and despite the utter kindness of the staff and the fact that the procedure was virtually painless, she began to scream! I was embarrassed and tried to get her to control herself. However Dr. Poiset was not perturbed at all, put on headphones, and reassured me a number of times that her screaming was not a problem at all! My daughter screamed bloody murder throughout the whole procedure, but Dr. Poiset calmly and cheerfully continued, and showed nothing but compassion to her and me throughout. Again, I am convinced her screaming had nothing to do with physical pain, but was just our daughter being herself! And after that time, she was able to control herself and never screamed or even batted an eyelash again. In fact, after a tooth extraction she had been worried about, she said it had felt good! A couple of our children also initially got quite a few cavities, but Dr. Poiset encouraged us all in a low key way to keep working on our dental care routine, and the cavities ceased occurring.

My 20 month old son had the poor fortune of having undeveloped enamel on his top 4 front teeth. They were literally rotting off! He needed a pulpotomy... Our previous dentist wanted to perform the procedure with him strapped to a board and using novocaine as an anthesetic. Can you think of a better way to traumatize a toddler and develop a life-long fear for the dentist? (btw, that's all our insurance would cover). No way! My wife used her "mommy" network and found Dr Poiset. We were pleased with the way he addressed all of our concerns and suggested IV sedation for our little one. It cost us a few hundred dollars more (it was a $3500 procedure), but it was well worth the cost. He worked very fast and did an excellent job on the crowns. We're very picky with our doctors and dentists - we're glad we found Dr. Poiset. He's a keeper! Be sure to plan in advance for an appointment - he's usually booked 2-3 months out.

My son was 18 months old when I first took him to see Dr. Poiset. I was very impressed with the quality of care he received that first time, and I have continued to be very pleased with the treatment he and his older son have received over the last three years. Dr. Poiset is not only an excellent pediatric dentist in the professional, clinical sense. He is a genuinely kind man who obviously cares for children and wants to contribute to their well being by promoting their dental health. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Son had crowns on front teeth at age 2 that looked very natural. Procedure was non-traumatic with IV sedation, and went very quickly.
