I LOVE DR FELTON AND HIS STAFF!!!! I have had years of traumatic experiences in the past and just a few months ago I was referred to Dr. Felton by a client of mine and I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER!!! Ever single procedure has been QUICK AND PAINLESS. Also - I have to say I feel like everything they tell me about my teeth make sense and they are so credible and are realistic about my plan to get my teeth back to beautiful! The care I have received at Dr. Felton's office over the past dozen years has been fantastic. I had not seen a dentist in over 10 years before seeing Dr. Felton, and he and his staff immediately put me at ease. They are very careful to make the whole experience as comfortable as possible.

I really can't imagine how the experience at Dr. Felton's could be improved. The offices are nice, modern and clean, with great views of the city. It is centrally located with convenient parking. The entire staff is friendly and professional.

Dr. Felton is extremely careful in all phases of his work, always asking to make sure I'm comfortable. Since my previous issue with dentists was pain, this has been greatly appreciated. As someone who was once "dentistphobic," I have to say that I look forward to going to the dentist now.

The first thing I noticed about Dr. Felton was how calm he is, both whens speaking and working.

The care I've received is first rate and the prices are not unreasonable, especially when considering that his practice is one block off Union Square in San Francisco.

I have been going to Dr Felton for about 17 years. I think that this speaks volumes since I think that everyone knows how hard it is to find a great dentist! The Practice Manager, David is always accommodating in finding me an available appointment that revolves around my busy work schedule, and the entire staff is always friendly and nice as soon as you walk in the door.

I think that the biggest plus is that Dr Felton takes extreme pride in his work! He wants you to be happy about your smile. He put in my crown this year and I was a little on the nervous side but he talked me through the procedure which put me at ease. Plus it looks fantastic!

Dr. Felton and all of his staff are first-rate. I've been a patient for almost 15 years, and I've never had a negative experience. They always put the patient first.

Dr. Felton is well versed in all the lastest technologies and procedures but has never tried to impose any sort of treatment that was not completely warranted. He is expert, thorough, and explains every aspect of the work in very clear language. I've had quite a lot of work done over the years, and I have never been in pain or had anything other than excellent results. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED across all dimensions. I feel lucky to have such a great doctor and such a professional staff.

Maybe this review is premature, but I felt I needed to post a review. I just had a first appointment with Dr. Felton and was very anxious since I'm a complete dental-phobic. I must say I was delightfully surprised how I was treated by Dr. Felton and his staff. I had two teeth worked on and I anticipated pain and problems. Well, that didn't happen! Yes, I was nervous but Dr. Felton's approach to me was very sensitive. I found Dr. Felton to be totally interested in solving my problems with care and sensitivity and skill. If I had any doubts about changing to Dr. Felton, they were dispelled by the good results of my first session with him. I now feel like my dental health is in good hands and that when I have a problem or concern, he will listen to what I want to accomplish and how I feel. I'm a happy patient!

I've seen photos of his "before and after" but while I was at my appointment one of his "before and after" patients appeared in the flesh. Photos can sometime lie, but seeing it in the flesh can leave little doubt that Dr. Felton knows what he's doing. If I ever need such work, Dr. Felton will be the one to do it.

I had considered veneers for my 4 front teeth for several years, but with my wedding approaching, I wanted to feel confident about my smile. I intereviewed 3 dentists, and decided to go with Dr. Felton, due to his honesty, willingness to listen to what I really wanted for results (a natural look, and not "chicklet teeth"), and professionalism. These traits carried all the way through the treatment. I am very, very pleased with the results, so much so that I've decided to switch to Dr. Felton as my full-time dentist.

Dr. Felton has been my dentist since I moved to San Francisco over 10 years ago. I found him the old fashioned way, through a friend. Since I am self-employed, I do not have dental insurance but this has not been a problem. The cost is reasonable and Dr. Felton always explains options and prices to me before he proceeds with treatment. This is what I love, he doesn't tell me what he is going to do to me, we discuss treatment and options and I choose.

Everyone in the office makes a huge effort to be sure you are comfortable. The dental chairs are so comfortable that on a recent visit for a cleaning, I fell asleep!

Basically I DO NOT like going to the dentist and have avoided it over the years -- until I started going to Dr Felton. He is the most talented, sensitive, careful and thoughtful dentist I have ever met. A man of deep experience, he does not "oversell." His pleasant, knowledgeable way is very approachable. Having moved from NYC, I was in a bind to get a great cosmetic dentist to take off my old veneers and put on new ones. Dr. Felton spent many hours redoing my smile. His staff is wonderful, and he is a very gentle and caring dentist.

This is the best and most natural result I could ever imagine. I give him very high marks.

David at the front desk is remarkable. He handled all of my insurance bills with ease for my initial visit and my cleaning.

The office is very calming because it has wonderful views of the city so you can sit for a while and look out the window.

After 25+ years as his patient, Dr Felton is still the BEST!

He has the patients well being as his primary concern. One receives extraordinary compassionate care regardless of the time he needs to spend, and he discusses, explains and provides information about every procedure needed.

Dr. Felton stays at the cutting edge of developing technology and updates his methods accordingly.

The staff in the office is also the BEST. David, the office manager, greets each patient as if he/she is the most important person to the practice. In addition to being a warm, welcoming person, he handles insurance, billing matters and other administrative details efficiently and "gets the job done". The other staff members are equally professional and show their care and concern for the patients.

It is my opinion that Dr. Felton's charges are extremely fair for the high quality of work done. This is a rare statement!

Believe it or not, I enjoy looking into my mouth to see the amazing results of the work that Dr. Felton has done. I even enjoy the positive anticipation of looking forward to going to a dentist...as long as it is Dr. Felton.

I went to Dr. Felton for a porcelain veneer (on one of my most prominent teeth) and teeth whitening after reading the excellent reviews on this site....they are no exaggeration. It is indeed an wonderful experience to visit Dr. Felton's office. David, the magnificent office manager, demonstrates superb customer service and care from his pleasant telephone demeanor to his working on your behalf with the insurance company (by the way, he has excellent taste in international music!).

Dr. Felton himself did such an amazing job on my veneer....he spent a significant amount of time getting is just right and even had the lab technician come by and consult with me on the tint, shape, etc. Throughout the whole procedure, Dr. Felton continually showed extraordinary patient care and the veneer truly came out perfectly. I feel like a movie star with my new smile. I highly recommend Dr. Felton to anyone seeking a caring and compassionate dentist with amazing skills.

I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Felton, or David, his office manager! I went to Dr. Felton (after finding the rave reviews of him here and seeing that he specializes in correcting bites) to correct a botched-up by another dentist. She had replaced a large number of fillings at once to disasterous effect: things didn't interlock right and for the first time ever, I began clenching my jaw, grinding my teeth at night, things hurt, I couldn't really chew properly. Dr. Felton did a bite analysis, and meticulously made each tooth surface perfectly interlock so that my bite felt like my own again. Amazing!

Dr. Felton is an amazing dentist. He's a real professional, exceptionally skilled and talented. The thing that really stood out for me was Dr. Felton's generousity with his time. I'm an attorney who bills in tenths of an hour, and I couldn't believe how much TIME he spent talking and listening to me, explaining things, working with me. It's obvious that his top goal is making sure you leave happy. With all this, you think he'd charge more than others. Not so!! His fabulous office manager David makes it his goal to navigate through the complexities of dental insurance to minimize costs. I'm out of room or I'd rave on!

I feel very comfortable with Dr. Felton. He takes the time, and asks the "right" questions. I appreciate his doctor patient manner, and I feel as though he treats all of his patients fairly! I've seen his before and after pictures, and I now want to have cosmetic work done on my teeth. His work looks flawless. The best part about it, is Dr. Felton realizes having cosmetic dentistry IS expensive yet offers advice, solutions, and doesn't try to do a "hard sell". He leaves the final decision to the patient. But makes sure they are well informed. So, it may take me several months to save for it, but I am excited to do it.

I would unreservedly recommend Dr. Felton. One of the first things on his "get to know the patient" forms is "What are your goals for your dental care?" That is very important, because for me, cosmetic matters are secondary to overall health and retention of original tooth material, and he crafted his treatment plan to comply with my request. Dr. Felton also does a very meticulous, conscientious job with "routine" matters such as fillings, which other dentists I had used previously had not done, which had led to some persistent dental problems (which Dr. Felton fixed). He views each filling in light of your entire bite, and adjusts it accordingly, rather than treating it as a "one and done" stand-alone situation. His staff are also excellent and very professional and accomodating--Lena made my root planing entirely painless, which was a great relief. I would recommend Dr. Felton without qualification.

Dr. Felton and his staff are great. I have never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointments, and the atmosphere is always very relaxing. They know me by name and greet me as if I'm an old friend. Very helpful in dealing with insurance.

Dr. Felton is without a doubt the most professional dentist I have ever been to. I had top and bottom veneers that needed to be replaced, some decay that needed repair, fillings that needed replacing, and I was also in serious need of a deep cleaning as I hadn't been to a dentist in several years. Naturally I was a little nervous about choosing the right dentist since I had so much work to get done. Dr. Felton and his staff had a "no problem" attitude and approach to all the work that put me completely at ease. Every option was discussed and every procedure was thoroughly explained. My comfort was always a priority. Every single visit was painless and incredibly efficient. I had complete confidence in everything Dr. Felton did, and am really amazed at the beautiful job he did on my new veneers. Every detail is absolutely perfect. My smile has never looked better!

I definitely plan on keeping Dr. Felton as my dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Felton and his staff for cosmetic and general dentistry. I have worked for a dentist before and I'm very picky about who I go to for cosmetic dentistry. He repaired my bonding and made it look like new.

He is also the only dentist I have come across who knows enough about bite mechanics that I trust him to fix my bite. Basically, if your veneers or bonding are chipping off the front teeth on a regular basis or you have sensitive teeth in the back (not due to cavities) you're probably grinding your teeth at night. By fixing your bite, your veneers and bonding will likely last much longer.

Dr. Felton was great at explaining all of this to me, discussing the options without me feeling rushed or "sold." His prices are very reasonable and he charges fairly for the work - not like other dentists who want to charge the max for everything and sell you more gadgets and treatments than you really need. Office is sparkling clean with all appropriate safety precautions and a view of Coit Tower and the bay to boot!

My dental cleaning was relaxing, efficient and almost fun! I would definitely recommend Dr. Felton to anyone considering veneers or cosmetic bonding. No hype, no gimmicks, just great dentistry.

After my prior dentist of 25 years retired, I was referred to Dr. Felton for the tooth whitening I was after. There's more than a little anxiety when you change dentists but those concerns were completely unnecessary in this case.

Dr. Felton has a very comfortable manner and goes out of his way to put you at ease and explain everything he is planning to do along the way. He is careful, thorough and sensitive to your concerns and questions at all times. He did an excellent job and I couln't be happier with the treatment and results I received.

The other staff in the office are also great, including David the office manager. All of them go out of their way to make you welcome and to make your visits as efficient and enjoyable as possible. The office facilites are beautiful and equipped with the latest in available technology. You feel a genuine, positive and caring attitude from everyone as soon as you walk in the door.

I've had my share of bad dental experiences. After my first experience with Dr. Felton i knew right away that this will be the dentist for me. He is very knowledgeable, respectful and sensitive. His work is superb, I love looking at my teeth now in the mirror. His technique is clean and organized (you don't end up swallowing things that you're not suppose to). He is concerned about my experience as a patient sitting in that chair (which can make you feel vulnerable at times). The energy in that office when you first walk in is just really positive and everyone seems to love their job. It's a wonderful experience.

I've had my old dental fillings replaced with the white kind for several tooth so I've had to visit the doctor at least 4 times over the course of 2 months. I was a little sad when it was all over.

I highly recommend Dr. Felton to anyone that is looking for a bright star dentists.

As a new patient of Dr. Felton's going through some rather extensive dental treatment, I must say that I continue to be pleased with and impressed by Dr. Felton and his staff.

Before finding Dr. Felton, Id received two previous proposals for what needed to be done to my teeth and both seemed outrageously excessive and expensive to me. Dr. Felton took the time to fully asses the situation with my teeth, analyzing his research before calling me with a treatment plan to discuss.

Dr. Feltons office is beautiful and the environment is very clean, relaxing and friendly. The entire staff seems to know your name and seems genuinely concerned with your well-being as well as with the outcome of your treatment. Dr. Felton takes pains to determine exactly what needs to be done and then patiently explains everything in a clear, easy to understand manner. He welcomes questions as well as patient input. I particularly like the way he consults with the staff members in his office on certain things. I sense that this office would be a good place to work---it certainly feels like a good place to be a patient. While my dental work is still in progress, I feel very confident in the way things are progressing. If I have any questions or concerns, David, the Practice Manager, addresses them immediately, even calling me on his day off! Such a well run, professional office, providing excellent, quality work and still so inviting and friendly. I will definitely be recommending Dr. Felton to all my friends and co-workers.

Finally, I found an awesome dentist with the help of Dr. Oogle. Dr. Felton is better than all the glowing reviews make him sound. His office is high-tech, very clean, & super friendly. Looking out over Coit tower and the SF bay is a great side benefit (makes you feel like you are at the best dentist in the city! and you are!)

Dr. Felton is skilled and has the ability to explain things so you can understand exactly what is going on with your oral health. He is caring and has a nice personality. He exceeded my hopes and I would highly recommend him to anyone without reservation. He was able to diagnose my problem with others were not. I have been a patient of Dr. Felton's since 1986, and could not imagine a more thorough, careful, concerned, or effective Dentist. He treats all of his patients with great respect, and makes more effort than any other dentist I've had to make sure that I fully understand and fully accept whatever procedure he proposes. I've had one favorite hygienist there for years (Linda), but I've had to work with others due to scheduling issues, and I've never been less than fully pleased with their work and their personalities. David at the front desk handles all appointment, billing, and insurance issues with total competence and good humor, making sure that I get all the reimbursement I'm entitled to and minimizing paperwork for me. I couldn't recommend Dr. Felton and his staff more highly.

My family has been a patient at Dr. Felton's office for over 10 years and I have nothing but good and positive things to say about him and his staff. Beginning with the front desk, where a patients overall dental experience can be made or busted, I can say without fail that David is a first class administrator. He greets all with excitement and ease, is a terrific story teller, provides compelling movie reviews when prodded, and will go the extra mile to be sure all your dental needs are attended to. Dr. Felton employs truly wonderful and skilled hygienists who treat you like your Joe Montana. I can speak from personal experience about Linda and Chung's expert talent when it comes to teeth cleaning and or assisting Dr. Felton in more serious dental matters. And Dr. Felton has proven an excellent dentist and dental consultant to me and my family for all these years. We trust his advice and are comfortable and confident in his procedures. He has an extraordinary chair side manner. He and his entire staff are professionals in every way.

Dr Felton is the 'BEST'!

I, too, was suffering from botched dental and periodontal work. Now my teeth are as pretty as a picture. In fact, Dr Felton did such a wonderful job on my Veneers that my before and after "SMILE" can be seen on the monitor in the waiting room. Dr. Felton is extremely kind, gentle, competent and caring. Dr. Felton's staff is pleaant, caring and friendly, giving you the utmost in customer care.

Seventeen years ago, a friend directed me to 450 "Suffer" to see her dentist, "the best dentist in San Francisco." I WAS suffering from botched dental and periodontal work done in Boston. Dr. Felton developed a plan, repaired my teeth, rehabilitated my gums, and restored my faith in dentists. I am grateful for his exceptional skill and care. I've been smiling my way to his offices ever since.

I've seen Dr. Felton regularly for routine dental work for the last 15 years, and I think he's an outstanding dentist. The staff is extremely friendly and responsive, and Dr. Felton is not only skilled, he's very compassionate and concerned about patients' comfort. I wouldn't switch dentists for the world!

Dr. Felton conducted tests accurately diagnose the source of the pain I was having after my last dentist kept just randomly trying different things that didn't work. Dr. Felton was very concerned about the pain I was in and understanding of the poor treatment I had received before, which helped a lot. What helped even more was having the pain go away -- which the doctor did by analyzing my bite, seeing where the last dentist went wrong, and proposing corrective treatment with my input. Best experience with a dentist I've ever had.

I've been seeing Dr. Felton for dental work since around 1986 and have recommended him to many friends. I can't imagine a better dental experience especially with the amazing panoramic views of San Francisco. It's like having your teeth cleaned at the Top of the Mark. Last year I finally bit the bullet (not literally) and got veneers to replace my front four. Dr. Felton involved me so much in every stage of the job that I felt like I got to design the exact teeth I wanted, and he was able to match the color perfectly.

Dr Felton is extremely gentle and an expert at his work. I was having teeth sensitivity, and after seeing three other dentists, Dr Felton was the only one who correctly diagnosed my problem as bite misalignment. He was able to build up my teeth to improve my bite. By the next day, I was pain-free!

I have also had Dr Felton do fillings in my teeth, and his work is both pain-free and beautiful. My mouth has never looked better, and going to see the dentist has never been such a pleasure!

Dr. Felton's entire staff is truly a joy to be around -- they are friendly, pleasant, and the office manager David really takes the hassle out of dealing with insurance companies.

I would recommend Dr Felton any day -- and do!

I met Dr. Felton only a few months ago. My 30 year old dental work was in desparate need of repairs. I knew instinctively that the work to be done would be complex and I wanted it to last the next 30 years . Two other dentists did not instill in me any faith in their ability to complete the work. Dr. Felton provided me with a treatment plan that made sense and was worth the cost. His staff was very helpful in assisting with insurance and out-of-pocket costs. The work has now been completed. I have great new top bridges, a fitted repaired partial on the bottom, wonderful nice white teeth, a better bite, and a fabulous smile. Dr. Felton, as well as his entire practice staff (especially his practice manager, David Hurowitz) provided me with excellent results and the best dental experience I have ever had. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Felton is the best cosmetic dentist I've had! My smile now literally stops the traffic. Nobody believes it is not my natural teeth. Color, shape and overall look are much better than you see in the Extreme Makeover shows on TV. Now, at 40+ years old, I feel much better than I felt at 20. The doctor is very gentle and caring. The staff is very professional and friendly. David, the office manager, will do everything to meet your needs. I highly recommend Dr. Felton.
