Patient Review 1:
I would like to commend the outstanding staff of Dr. Shen's Orthoworks at San Bruno, CA. The front desk staff are always friendly and approachable and easy to contact especially when you have emergencies. I requested a speficic Dental assistant who works on my adjustment all the time, the first one is Tina but unfortunately she was always off or on vacation on the date I usually have my adjustment so I requested Mercedez who is exceptionally good on what she do and the new Doctor which I forgot her name, she will kill me if she find out I forgot her name, she's great, very informative and knows exactly what her patient needs. I always tease her that I can wear my braces till I'm eighty years old so that I can to their clinic all the time and chat. Kidding aside Mercedez and her partner Doctor are the best assets on that clinic.

I went to the Ortho Works in San Bruno and there sevice is exellent! The braces straightend my teeth and I love them. The people there are extremely friendly and they explain everything to you. If anyone who is reading this review and lives in this area wants to get braces, I highly recommend this place because the prices are fair but compaired to other places, this place is CHEAP!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and helped me out a great deal when i had braces. They charge a very reasonable price that is affordable. The treatment went very well and it didn't seem as painful as i thought it would have been. The results i got were fantastic! In the end, I have beautigul straight teeth!! I decided to get braces when I was 22 years old because I wanted my teeth to be straighter. I know that they weren't horrible, but there was room for improvement. Although I was an older client, I was treated great! Actually, now that I think about it a lot of their clients were adults :) Anyway, when I had appointments I was always in and out. Additionally, the treatment was affordable, the office was very clean, and the staff and Mr. Shen was wonderful to me! I just got my braces off on 4/20 and my smile is perfect! Thanks Orthoworks for a good experience.

The assistants are very knowledgable and helpful.My Invisalign treatment was affordable and my insurance covered a portion. A wonderful place to be as the customer service alone makes it worth while. I was having an extremely difficult time finding an ortho in the city after moving here from the East Coast. I must have gone to at least a dozen places and each had a money making scheme by way of telling me that I had to take off the braces i had and put on "new age" ones or places telling me that i had to submit to a certain payment structure because their fee was so exorbitant amount of money. I finally found Ortho and explained my situation to them pointing out that I had not had any check-ups in months. Instead of having me sign paper work to lock in me into a contract, Pamela (who is the best) worked on me that afternoon, changing my bands and tightening my braces. If that's a method of getting customers, well it worked and I decided to continue my treatment with the office. During my time there, I've had exceptional service. Pamela, Alisa and the rest of the staff are wonderful people who are cordial, polite, attentive, and willing to talk you through the process during treatment. I never felt as if the course the doctors chose for me was wrong. Dr. Yee is very thorough and Dr. Tomer who was my primary Doctor was wonderful. Here easy going banter made a visit to the office very enjoyable. I also felt that the front desk staff was very professional. They help me set up appointments that suited my busy schedule and never declined a slot I wanted. Lastly, special thanks to Mrs. Wong for making the financing aspect of my relationship with Ortho easy. I understood what my plan was, what goals were set for me with regard to the treatment and payment, and options to pay. Overall, I strongly recommend Ortho as a primary care provider. Dr. Tomer is an exceptional physician who is assisted by competent and hard working associates and staff. Thank you again Ortho Works.

If you want a very efficient and cost effective orthodonist experience, then Dr. Shen is it. They have the efficiency down by having an open area for 8 chairs and sharing the assistants. They are also very friendly and personal.

I am a current patient of Dr. David Shen, and I must say, if all orthodontists were as kind and compassionate like he and his terrific staff is, then it would make visits to the office very pleasant, instead of the typical "anxiety" that one would feel going to other offices. Just recently, I had my braces removed, and received the biggest compliments from my family and my co-workers. Highest recommendation for Dr. Shen & Orthoworks. I'm an adult braces wearer (55 yrs old when I started). He's clearly put a lot of time into customer service, because his staff have consistently been the best, from office to office. The orthodontistry is 1st rate. I checked out several other local orthodontists (Pinole) before starting with Dr. Shen, but chose him even though initially he was farther away (SF) He has since opened an office nearby in Hercules. The quality of his services was better from the the initial assessment on and his pricing was competitive. Even with the drive, the bridge tolls, and the parking, it was worth it. All of the Orthodontists have been excellent, the staff friendly, responsive, and professional. My braces are now off, my bite is significantly improved, no regrets, absolutely worth it, even at my age. I marked "moderate" on cost, because they were less than others I checked out, whose costs were prohibitive. Even so, braces are always expensive, no matter what. However, I made mine affordable through a combination of dental insurance and utilizing pre-paid medical at my work. Reduced my out-of-pocket expenses considerably& made it possible.
